Will be interesting to see what happens now that the "Patriotic" have lost their savior in chief.
Will they find peaceful existence too boring....and create an even deadlier Trump prototype?
Is difficult to imagine they will be able to cope without the constant daily dose of chaos that Trump can provide.
Is doubtful they have been weened off the Trump addiction this soon....they will need to replace it with something else...as soon as possible.
And what will become of Tucker Carlson? Sean Hannity? Rush Limbaugh? Fox News?
How will they ever be able to keep viewers/listeners interested without Trump?
They would need to create some really awesome "alternative facts"
to even come close to the last four years of Trump headlines.

Of the two groups, this one is content with being left alone. It is the other side that is constantly lowering the bar on what offends them. From statues, food brands, Elmer Fudds gun, etc. They are the ones eager for something to be outraged about.

Well, that's easy. They'll go back to making up fake scandals. That's what they do. And there is enough of a gullible to eat it all up.

They have no scruples, and have displayed no shame every time they are exposed.

    "Trumpism" will survive Trump.

Tucker will be fine ratings wise unless he gets boycotted out of his spot. Rush will soon be dead, and Hannity will alter his opinions and show to match the next Republican it girl.

    Sound logical enough...thanks

One question...do you think it will still be referred to as Trumpism?
...or be changed to something that distances the Trump brand?

But would someone less brash satisfy their need for hostility and anger?
Voicing their anger seems to be one of the major attractions to Trump.
It would be difficult to imagine someone like Pence getting folks riled up longer than two seconds.

Well a rose by any other name would still be populist nationalism, America Firstism, MAGA...I don't know if we're going to end up calling it "Trumpism" or not. My guess would be no since it preceded Trump and will outlast him.

    Yes, Biden replaced Trump.

But to answer the OP's question: Yes. Trump laid the groundwork down for a strong armed leader to take power again. It's not a question of it but when. The real question will then be will the institutions hold? And I don't think they will be able to. Not for a long time.

Talk shows have been making money hand over fist since before Trump. Newer conservative and centerist voices are starting to rise as well like Ben Shapiro and Tim Pool.
Ted Cruz would get support from many Trump Supporters and Traditional Republicans, or there is Donald Jr., and Devin Nunez. I cant think of any that would impliment Trump America First so called 'protectionist' views.

Don't think Trump has it in him to run again but he could pick his replacement.

I can only speak for myself not others - personally I liked most of his policy platform relative to recent Presidents, but disliked his brash egotistical persona.

Yeah! We have too many stop signs! We need less stop signs! And those stupid crosswalks too. They need to go!

But I'm referring to things like checks on the power of the president, making sure things aren't abused etc. An extreme example might be something like the weight impeachment is supposed to have.

If there is a danger, it is because congress has delegated too much to the president without adequate restrictions. I am glad the MSM fear mongering has woken up the left. Maybe they will implement stronger limitations on the president even though they have the presidency. Probably not...

Right, that's exactly what I'm saying. I'm just using the word 'institutions' to mean things like the restrictions on the president, MSM, etc. You're probably right. They won't but who knows? Let's hope for the best.

Can Trump be replaced? Sure, he'll be replaced by private sector Trump hurling a wrecking ball into MSM, Big Tech and Washington. Unless they silence him somehow, and that would probably make it even worse, you lot will be wishing the election wasn't so flagrantly stolen and the will of the people had prevailed uncorrupted.

Tax revolts coming to an already depleted tax base soon. Large LW crony public companies will be exhausting the fumes of what they stole from the middle/upper middle class small business private sector via COVID1984 by mid year or so. Then market collapse in late 2021/2022 exacerbated by Biden policies, nasty inflation due to running $$ presses of Trump Admin (and everyone before him) and then to a crescendo under Biden.

Oh, you thought being hostile and angry were nonleft traits? Laughable projection of the new authoritarian gov-edu-union-contractor-grantee-trial lawyer-crony corp-MSM Aristocracy and their army of vicious astroturfed brownshirts. As others post accurately, our side are the ones who want to be left alone, pay taxes... so long as our votes count, always have been. The "white supremacist/domestic terrorist" LARP was a lie sold to you that you gobbled up and never questioned. Everyone will be hostile and angry soon enough though when gas is $7 and interest rates at 12%+. Then the real fun will start.

Don't try to escape to my middle sized resource-rich town, though, we'll have large, heavily armed squads of 1000s of the newly deputized preventing that. City folks can camp outside the barricades so long as they don't cause trouble. Hint: we don't need any more baristas, community organizers, government employees, lawyers, grievance studies professors or internet influencers, learn skills. If you are female or very good looking men, get in shape, you'll always have something to trade for food and water that way.
