Can We Talk...How Has A Black President Worked Out For The USA?

Which is exactly why USA needs to be broken up, along racial lines. When the blacks were granted freedom, some advocated for a piece of Black governed real estate, but were denied.

 

Are there any Black conservatives ? I really could not understand what Obama did that was so bad, compared to G.W Bush. Many Americans by the end of Bush's reign used the motto: Anyone but Bush....

It's not about color. You should vote as if you were blind. Color is unimportant. It is "the content of their character" that makes the difference. Unfortunately, Obama isn't even "the Alpha Dog" of the White House. He is a great organizer, but his follow-thru sucks.

 

In our society, do you believe it was Obama 'not bringing race' or do you think it's more an issue of anyone who challenges Obama based on race will be lampooned by the media and others? In other words; a taboo subject?

I actually believe it's considered a taboo subject, which to me means our society is not ready to deal with race openly and honestly...

 

Trying to use the word 'mulatto', even if it is an accurate word, is just another way of avoiding the Black issue. This issue is that many people, no matter Obama's genetics, when they look at him they only see a Black man.

And no matter White people's genetics going back to earliest man in Africa and the Middle East, as long as White people look reasonably White, most people will just see a White person. Seems with our racial slang we have Whites, Blacks, Browns, Yellows, and everyone will be pigeon-holed in one of these categories. We're so racially anal that we even create dark-Black and light-Black and your word 'mulatto' which somehow labels people better or worse?? And I don't really know, but I'm assuming this entire issue is much more pervasive in the USA than in other nations...

 

Yes, there are black conservatives. And Obama and Bush had different agendas.....goals.

As I see it...

Obama is into changing the foundation of the country....to make it a "good" country.

Bush treasured the foundation that this country stands on.

I wonder how many powerful people in the USA, plus members of Congress, and other influential groups, are sick to death having a Black president? And because of this since Day 1 they have refused to give Obama the time of day. I actually believe some of Obama's lack of performance stems from this although I will never give him a pass for his dismal performance...

 

I can talk. It's been a failure. The citizens, the people are ready for it and just fine. It's the politicians, the media who is not comfortable with it and immature. Any reasonable criticism against a failure of a president is automatically accused as hidden racism.

 

Yes. Actually, I believe a black President could do as well as a white. I don't think THIS one is doing very well, though. Maybe it's because he's half white. His white half may have a Saviour complex, since his white half had to go through the same experiences as his black half.

Obama seems to have a cause; a hard-on against certain groups of Americans.

It seems to me, (I may be wrong) that Obama picked up too much Liberation Theology and it is governing his thought to an extent which isn't good for America.

Obama seems like if he could get away with it, he would sometimes say, like his mentor, "****** America". Obama seems to have a dim view of America, which would explain why he wants to "change America FUNDAMENTALLY". -Which would explain why he continues to make apologies for America which would be better off not made.

Lots of Presidents were lousy in certain ways. I'm not saying that Obama is lousy in some ways because he's black, but I'm saying he's lousy in some ways because he has grabbed on to beliefs that are generally grabbed onto more by blacks than whites.

Now let me say one very brave thing about my country: Obama has either increased, untouched, or lessened the likelihood that America will elect another black soon. I think......I may be wrong.....I think that he has accomplished a lessening of the likelihood. Nice going, you liberal dope.

I won't defend Obama because he is arguably the least qualified and least experienced president we ever elected! We are now seeing the results of electing unqualified representatives.

But I also believe there remains a faction of our population, which includes powerful people, special interests, Congressional members, etc. that won't give the time of day to a Black person...or any color other than White. I think the moment he declared his candidacy for president, he was immediately given Secret Service protection because of the threats on his life. IMO these threats show that we have a long way to go...

As Martin Luther King so rightly pointed out, we should not be judged by the color of your skin, but by the content of your character.

And, in my mind, Obama's character has been found to be not that of what I would expect of my President and Commander-in-Chief.
