    Men should also be prepared to accept the fact that although their female friend may not want to have sex with them she will still not take too kindly to you having sex with anyone else lol.

    I swear I always get the female friend without benefits who won't date me but for some reason has a problem if I so much as smile at a female who isn't her....

    If you already got your woman you have to walk on rice paper around other women.

    If you don't already have your woman you have to walk on rice paper around nearly all women, until you take a chance stepping off the rice paper. Only you can figure if the risk is worth it. You must keep in mind that short term gain can result in long term pain.

    If you don't stay on the rice paper when you should be walking on the rice paper your life is going to be turmoil, and any offspring you might have is going to live in turmoil.

    Seen it so many times. A distant relative got recently with a flaky girl and had a baby with her and got an apartment for the family. Everybody had warned him she was bad news, but she's a looker. He thought everything was okay, until she sexted him with a vid of her having sex with another guy, and said she didn't want him no more. He's in total turmoil, and that baby boy is going to live in turmoil all his life because Mama is totally nuts and will raise him to be nuts like her.

    a 'harem' may be a good compromise for this evolutionary programming, the women would be monogamously committed to one Man while He would have His pick of the litter at any given moment.

    My father drilled that exact statement into my head from basically the day I hit puberty. I was in my late teens and 20s at some point in my life, as we all were, and awhile I was certainly no saint, hearing that echoing in the back of my head throughout those years kept me out of trouble.

    As far as having to tiptoe around other women when you have a woman, absolutely....I'll tell you what the only thing worse than having a strictly platonic female best friend is having a strictly platonic female best friend when you have a girlfriend....That right there is just a perfect storm of royal misery and stress. Girlfriend is mad that best friend calls, best friend is mad that girlfriend gets mad that she calls, girlfriend gets mad that best friend wants to attend my graduation ceremony for a work course, best friend gets mad that girlfriend is mad that she wants to attend her best friends graduation. Best friends boyfriend is mad that she has a male best friend, boyfriend dumps girlfriend because he thinks that she secretly likes me, my girlfriend gets mad because my female best friend is now single and is now a bigger threat than she was before. Best friend gets even more mad at girlfriend for having a problem with her. Girlfriend will not be convinced that we have been best friends for over 2 decades and have never once even kissed and are actually just friends and she is closer to a sister than anything sexual. Girlfriend confronts best friend one day in a bar and says go away. Best friend says no you go away you are unreasonable. Both call me and complain about the other from their confrontation. Girlfriend dumps me because I'm secretly in love with best friend but won't admit it.

    Yeah....never do that lol.

    That caters to mans nature and ignores womans. Thats why its primarily practiced in cultures where women are more property than individual.

    I have a few guy friends from college where the platonic thing really does work bilaterally; & yes we've talked about the whole sex thing not being an issue anymore. The thing of it is that years prior we were in varying degrees of dating / relationship; so the intimacy / carnal lust thing has been 'put to bed', lol.

    Yes. Normally I would agree with the guy in the first video, but those were all young people and their friends were all the same age as them. I'm older now and I have a female friend who is 25 years older than me. So no real sexual attraction there. I know a couple of other females I'm not attracted to who I wouldn't call friends but more like close acquaintances, but I could be friends with them. And then there's a woman in Miami who is too nutty to screw, but she amuses me enough to stay friends with her.

    Just out of curiosity, when did the meaning of "hook up with" change from "meeting" to "screwing"?

    I did everything I could to remain friends with an ex-girlfriend once, and got turned down miserably. Actually the breakup didn't bother me at all since to me the relationship was more of a close friendship and there was no real attraction, but the fact that you can go from spending all your time with someone and getting along super well to ignoring them completely has always felt sick to me. I talked about that to other female friends and they acted like it's normal.

    So I earnestly tried, I failed, and it's completely the chicks' fault.

    that is primarily why women and men cannot be friends, according to God's will women were made to be obedient to man and cater to His every whim.

    a friendship is more of a mutually beneficial relationship.

    She broke up with me, because I was travelling abroad for 6 months. Rest happened when I came back.

    I've had women friends with no physical attraction to them...but never as what would be defined as a best friend, women just think different than men...
