    Nice theory you've got there.

What should we be doing to move in that direction?

It's not for a Christian to judge what a murderer does either, so that isn't responsive.
Dunno where you're getting that idea...
...but if society goes down the road of acceptance, are you comfy with that as well?

Resenting and fearing people who work for their money and expect caesar to use it wisely are covetous. God didn't leave you in charge to tell other people what to do, He left you the Spirit so that you would know how to direct your own life.

No it's for the government to decide what happens to murderers, not me.

I am saying that the whole movement of trangenderism will be rejected by society in the end as it is a mental illness and will one day be recognized as such. I was a sent a video yesterday of a young lad cutting his **** off because he thinks he is in the wrong body. We are literally creating and glorifying severe mental illness.

And no I wouldn't be comfortable with it for the reasons above.

I'll tell you something else: in the past ten years or so I lost everything I had, moved what was left 1000 miles from home just to get a job (and I paid for the move myself), ended up having two operations in two years, paid tens of thousands of dollars in medical bills afterward and I STILL had left wing Pharisees telling me that I should be willing to share what I had, except for one thing: all I had was debt.

I never asked you or anyone else for anything, Ms. Pharisee, so don't presume to lecture me about what Jesus would do or not do, because I am pretty sure Jesus wouldn't kick a man when he's down because he's a Republican.

    But you would, wouldn't you?

Be real Christians instead of avaricious, greedy and selfish. Or snide.

I work for my money. You make a lot of assumptions about others. I have taken care of myself sense I was 17 years old, put myself through 6 years of university by working, and have had a successful career and traveled all over the world. I own my own home outright, no mortgage, bought it cash. You, who are assuming I'm some kind of leach, can you say the same?

Jesus is the center of Christianity, not God. God didn't put me in charge of what other people should do, he put Jesus in charge, and Jesus said to share what you have with others. The story of Jesus feeding five thousand people with only five loaves of bread and two fish, is the perfect example of that. I lived and worked in a country for 4 years which took 40% of my earnings out for tax so that the country was safe, clean, and well run. There was no poverty. There was freedom of speech, religion and every other freedom Americans have. I didn't regret the taxes I spent.

You don't seem to have a lot of knowledge about Christ or about human decency. Decent Christians want to share the wealth, not hog it. Decent Christians don't assume that poor or needy people are only so because they are lowlifes. Decent Christians love their fellow men and women; they don't despise them. Decent Christians don't take a holier than thou stance against others who don't look, think or live exactly like they do.

And please don't tell me to go back and live in that other country: the America love it or leave it chant never was a truly American (or Christian) attitude to take. America was built by immigrants and by people who wanted the best country in the world. I am not am immigrant for one thing. I was born and raised here and have lived here most of my life here. My parents were not immigrants and their parents were not immigrants, and so on. If we don't like something about America, it is our right and duty to speak out and try to change it. Conservatives who complain about social programs are hypocrites who actually take advantage of them: school loans, social security, Medicare, unemployment benefits when they get laid off, public education, etc.

It didn't work out very well, they were under the mistaken assumption that Christ's return was immediate. There were wealthy people in the early church, who weren't once reprimanded for their wealth. There's nothing wrong with making money, it's how you make it and what you do with it that matter.

I am not kicking anyone for being a Republican. I am against the idea that social welfare programs, which all Americans take advantage of not just Democrats, are against American or Christian ideals.

I have moved far more than 1,000 miles to get a job. I don't think it is a big deal to move from one area of the US to another to find work. People complain about having to move to get work or to take another type of job than they are used to in order to work. I don't believe in that, but I do believe that society needs to take care of the truly needy. Most of the people who use social welfare programs are truly needy. My half sister had MS. She couldn't work. She lived on social security/Medicare benefits. It was a measly income but she had no choice. Most people using social welfare benefits are truly needy. They use social security, Medicare, student loans, national health care benefits, unemployment benefits, etc. If we didn't have such programs, truly needy people would be destitute, living on the streets and begging. Dying unnecessarily of treatable illnesses. Is that the kind of country you want?

Yes, I am aware you think the bible is BS, and of no value at all in human existence. I think it is full of myths and stories, but not totally devoid of value given it is much of what became western civilization. It was a part of the stew that we became, in beliefs, values, archetypal behavior, the whole ball of wax.

Funny that a BS book had such a tremendous effect in regards to western civilization. What have you contributed? ha ha Probably the same as myself. Nothing that can be noticed.

I think what people are opposed to is people gaming the system, and that instead of a safety net the welfare system has become a hammock for generations.

I must ask you to speak for yourself and stop putting words in my mouth, telling me what I think and what I believe. Nobody here says the poor and needy are lowlifes but only a fool thinks there are no lowlifes.

The rest of your tirade is just more of the same of your holier than thou ranting.

You can start by not being so mean spirited and looking down your nose at others.

Sure. But, one catch is that there are 250M people in this country. And, even that is a tiny percent of those on earth.

I think the NT may have had some value but it is hard to say given the brutality of Christian conquest in the so called New World. I strongly believe that Western Civilization has value and I guess it could be said that the Catholic church provided a post Roman basis for a civilization. Did the Catholic church adhere to the teaching of the NT? I would say they did not.

The percentage of people who cheat the system is small in comparison to what we spend on the overall social welfare system.

That's hilarious. You are the one looking down your nose at others: at true Christians, at Democrats and liberals, at people who use the social welfare system, at me. You really have no self awareness.

Swell, but you're still dodging the question, as if you somehow imagine your personal limitations have any bearing on the "right" of others to "be who they choose".
Why would we do that when we've accepted homosexuality as normal?

Marx: from each according to his ability, to each according to his need.

If the tax office is burdening you in your present circumstances, maybe a bit of Marxist philosophy on the part of the tax office would be a good thing.

But I'm guessing that as soon as your debts are gone, you won't be interested in any Marxist tendencies in the tax office.

My personal limitations, you do not know me my brother. What question am I supposed to be dodging? It's for the governing body to decide what happens to criminals, not me. It's also not for me to decide what people do in their own time. But it does effect me when I am forced by 'progressives' to accept regressive movements that go against my own beliefs.

Have we accepted homosexuality or has it been forced on to society by the loudest screaming few? Under the surface, homosexuality and racism are and always will be rife.
