    Not sure.

BUT, if he was taking this so "seriously" (even a month ago) then why was he STILL holding big rallies to help SPREAD the Virus?

The Same rallies that he referred to the Virus as a "hoax".

I find it hard to reconcile any sort of "defense" of Trump (based on what Trump actually DID).

Ya see, I was wondering why the dems held all those primaries during the time when Pelosi was holding up the funding bill until Super Tuesday was over. What culpability do other politicians have in this? They seem to want Trump to get congressional approval for everything, but what has Pelosi & Co done to help things along?

True story. Crony Capitalism is not Capitalism.

We have the ability to recover, but this debt we are taking on will be an economic weight on the necks of generations to come.

Cutting checks is one of the few things government can do with a reasonable level of efficiency. Given the level of central government failure over decades that has led to this crisis I think checks or direct electronic money transfers to the working class including small businesses is appropriate.

Subsidy for Boeing and other critical Big Businesses?
Maybe, after liquidation and reorganization under a new board of directors.

Sadly, the cons’ favorite mantra that ‘you’re on your own’ is totally unfit for times of crisis, and your boy trump’s ‘it’s all about me’ focus will result in more dead Americans than if we had had an actual adult as potus during this crisis.

Do you know how many cases of the Chinese Corona Virus have been traced to Trump rallies?

    You have been misinformed.

"President Trump signs coronavirus relief package passed by Congress"
“Finally, we should never let politics get in the way of good policy. This is a great start and hope others will be part of a united front to push for good policies that will help us work through the economic anxiety the country is feeling right now,” Omar wrote.

On Wednesday, Trump signed a coronavirus aid package passed by Congress providing free testing and two weeks’ paid sick leave for full-time workers who fall ill.

The bipartisan, multibillion-dollar relief bill was approved by the House late Sunday and passed in the Senate earlier Wednesday after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin brokered the deal last week.

The bill also provides $1 billion in food aid to the needy and $1 billion in unemployment funds to states as the number of coronavirus cases soared to 7,000 across the country."

    My friend,

Those of us who subscribe to be "on our own" are doing just fine, crisis or not.

    Trust me.

Sadly, there will be a large number of companies that will not survive this outbreak. They will be sold for parts and IP to the highest bidders. Companies that are vital to the US defense efforts ought to see some type of help. Makes me wonder does anyone need a Tesla?

Here is my prediction. The rich will get richer and the rest of America will get poorer. Thank god for capitalism. And according to the Republicans if you aren’t rich it is your own fault.

Open Borders Donnie, with his long history of employing undocumented workers, is conflating his bigotry, being a person of low moral character, with being tough on the border issues.

It is time for right-wing socialists to stop referring to themselves as capitalists when they are not. It is hard to have a capitalistic system when capital is being redistributed to the supply-side of the economy from the demand-side, like what is done in all communist countries.

And when that doesn't happen you'll see the error of your ways, right?

    Doubtful.

I agree. Especially the ones with the inside information that sold short in this market and walked away with billions. Now.... who would have such information? Would it be the very folks entrusted with our health and safety and supposed to represent our best interest?

I am expecting an economic collapse. Not because of the coronavirus, but because of the last century or so of debt-based economics; the process of playing global 'hot potato' with a debt bomb. When it goes off, everyone will suffer, but those who spent more of it on infrastructure will suffer less.

It was always going to go off. Now I think it will go off soon and be blaimed on the virus in the hopes that we won't march with pitchforks and torches (read: rifles and molotovs) to the homes and hideaways of the internationals bankers that set us up for the fall.

I will be surprised if it doesn't turn out that this virus was either released intentionally, or escaped before its intentional release, having been designed for this purpose.

Well...an international plot to pull the working persons money out of the market would not be hard for me to believe ...but very hard for me to find the proof. But it makes little difference ... and for me it is kinda relaxing to see everything slow the heck down.

Can you imagine sending checks to those homeless in SF, LA, etc.., that have been ******** on streets and leaving their aids tainted drug needles for anyone to trip on?
They ALL have an address that acknowledges their existence. They be like, "Gimmie my check!"
Drugs, bling and ANYTHING that the check for everyone is for will be wasted.
Lib/prog/socialists are would be good with that. They're used to throwing taxpayer money down the drain.

I find it relaxing as well ...on the surface. But then I still have income despite little work to do. Most folks are gonna start having trouble real soon, if their not already. This is likely the calm before the storm.
