Caught on video: A teenage girl being punched by a cop at Coral Square Mall

Being a local to the area, I can say that mall has taken quite a turn for the worse in the past 20 yrs as the city as turned from mostly white to 1/2 and 1/2. Coral Springs in general has spiraled down. Its why we got out. I see little thug and thuggettes of all races infesting the place now. Really sad.

 

Go watch COPS and see white men and women get tossed to the ground like rag dolls when they resist arrest. There's about 30 years on record. Stop living in a bubble.

 

Preventable by the "victim" if he simply cooperating with the Police. If they do something wrong, that's what the court system is for.

 

Example, the drunk underage girl on the beach in New Jersey.

 

Resisted arrest. Nuff said.

Now show us video of someone NOT breaking laws, NOT causing a scene, NOT committing crimes, and NOT resisting arrest .. being punched. I've got a couple of hours.

 

Cops shouldn't punch anyone anymore, Pepper Spray, Tazer or Dog should be used to bring resisters into compliance. Myself I prefer we'd have enough K-9 units so one could respond to every call where the suspect is likely to resist or run.

Sure, but when the chips are down, public safety is their primary concern. I HOPE they use whatever means they have at their disposal to remove/control troublemakers. What use is a police force which doesn't do this fundamental of their entire reason for being?

 

Further, where I live it's almost always white kids getting the short end of the police stick. They're the ones causing the most trouble, so it means our police are doing their job right.

She wasn't cuffed at the time of the punch...why are you lying?

Very true, but what I was suggesting was in the name of public safety. If a person runs, resists or fails to comply, let the dog go get 'em. We'll save millions on excessive force settlements. When the cops yell, stop or come out with your hands up and the suspect fails to comply let the K-9 officer "go fetch". If they get bit....they were warned.

 

Forcing her body to move in a way that they required for arrest, might've led to breast contact.

Well I have no idea what position they needed her in. Body part manipulation can also lead to dislocations.

 

Yea because this 14yr old girl pinned to the ground was a real threat. Smfh.

 

If they wouldn't resist then nothing would happen. Dogs would be preferable than hitting, but if a policeman is having to take the abuse he does what he can to stay safe. Some 14-year-olds look huge in this day an age.

 

She was certainly no angel to have the police called on her. Her parents should have been the ones pinned on the ground.

 

She wasn't punched because she was a threat, she was punched because she was resisting arrest. Plus, the piece of human waste girl WAS a threat to the members of the public she and her piece of human waste friends we're harassing. Ridiculously, one was a young child.

Nobody claimed she was an angel, so since she isn't an angel that justifies an officer punching her while they have her pinned to the ground.

 

They were wrong to hit her. They should have tased her.

 

Smfh. This type of weak ass attitude is why we have police brutality. As a cop I know I can assault or kill someone black because these are the type of folks that will be sitting on the jury.
