Something we have in common

 

We're on the safe side for nations on earth. We are far from the most dangerous nation on earth.

 

And very far from the safest

 

We are a violent people.

 

We are also among the most diverse nations, and our populous consists of the rebels and risktakers from the rest of the world. I never claimed we are the safest, but on the danger "spectrum" we are fairly safe. Our homicide rate is about 5.4 per 100k. The really safe nations are around 1 per 100k. The dangerous nations are closer to 80 per 100k.

We are 90th on this list and our murder rate (5.3 per 100k) is lower than the world average (6.2 per 100k). Most of the truly high murder rates are in the Americas. We live in a violent hemisphere and most of our recent immigrants are from this hemisphere.

Here in Portland Oregon, I was waiting for a bus, and two teens on bikes, nice clean cut teens, cute looking white boys approached me and I noticed they both had knives as they approached me, knives pointed down, and I smiled at them and started laughing, truth is, I Iook alot more inept and helpless, than I really am, and if they had tried to attack me, I Iikely would have killed them both and perhaps been injured, but not fatally.

They actually became scared, this guy is crazy, lets get the Fk out of here !

This one I loved. There are more irresponsible voters than irresponsible gun owners for certain. Case in point: Maxine Waters continues to get re elected, how does one explain that. Or Nancy Pelosi, Barbara Boxer, Sheila Jackson-Lee, Chuck Shumer the list goes on and on, and now we are getting a new crop of useless idiots, the new boss AOC.

Can you imagine if there was a test before you could vote, it could be real simple, like spell your name, and give people three tries, if they can't get it right, then no vote, that would reduce the democrats in congress by 85% or more.

 

Curious. So, being a minority makes someone more violent? Can you explain that?
