Except we voted him into office to commander-in-chief....not to be a campaigner-in-chief. I guarantee you that if a CEO of a company ignored a serious situation in progress for the company he worked for in order to pursue a matter that only benefit him or his friends, he would not be the CEO long.

Yep, I'm sure that was a major consideration for Obama....."how am I going to look". A true President would not be concerned, or at least SHOULDN'T be concerned about their image ahead of their country's interest.

No, it is you who'd no foggiest idea what being executive is. Obama is not an executive, he's a (*)(*)(*)(*)ing campaigner-in-chief, and that's where he was, before and after Benghazi, campaigning, Ambassador who've served at Obama's pleasure be damned. I know that, you know that, everyone know that, but out of political loyalty you've no guts admitting it.

I honestly think this may be the reason its been out there so long, in hopes that it could hurt HRC's chances.

Honestly, I think its a bit of a pipe dream.

Your proof please with links? If you make such a claim back it up with the proof, otherwise you own it as a lie.

    You don't make any sense.

In the war department, no one can hold handle to the campaigner-in-chief, who just in Afghanistan caused twice the deaths in half the time than his predecessor. Don't even go this route....

    - - - Updated - - -

Why do you want her to have an even bigger responsibility? So she can sleep thru another 3 O"Clock call?

So you don't even accept the Congressional Committee report.
some how I am not surprised that facts do not have to play a role in your belief.

As a matter of fact I know exactly what its like to be a chief executive.

But no amount of reality is going to disuade you from your partisan fantasies. Its like debating with a young earther, or a birther or anyone else who isn't actually interested in the facts.

    cheers.

What is this idiotic "campaigner in chief" epithet directed at Obama when everyone with a clue knows that every president is forced to balance governance with campaigning. A major weakness of the american system - elections never seem to end.
He is the commander in chief and fyi - where ever the president is, he has all of the necessary information systems and access to anyone and everyone he may need.

Your talking points are yet another example of "bumpersticker" politics designed for the 25% of the american population that thinks the sun revolves around the earth.

There hasn't been a president in recent memory that hasn't been concerned about their image. Why I can recall one of them even landed on an aircraft carrier in full fighter pilot regalia.

Yes and that is EXACTLY what he did. He put the country's interest in nailing that scumbag ahead of his own image.
It could have easily gone totally pearshaped and he most definitely wouldn't have been re-elected.

So you are saying that Benghazi was the result of a CIA operation, and in the interests of national security its involvement had to remain secret.

There are all kinds of Republican members of congress with top security clearances who must have been briefed about it in camera.

so it this is infact the case (and I happen to agree with you) Issa's witchhunt has been conducted knowing full well that the whole truth could not be revealed. He has simply been taking political advantage of that fact to gin up direct and completely unsubstantiated accusations of the president's failure.

Hence the reason most people think Issa is a lying manipulative and incompetent member.
Note in the 6 years he's been at this he has yet to uncover ANY substantive wrongdoing, criminal or otherwise. A track record of unsuccess even his mother couldn't be proud of.

That statement has nothing to do with the Bush lies that sent us to war for nothing. Changing the subject only reveals the weakness of your argument, which in this case is one of changing the subject. What a cop out.

Quite honestly, I never expected the Secretary of State to be responsible for the protection of covert CIA bases. I always thought that was the job of the Head of the CIA and the Defense Department. Granted, her ambassador was killed but at that moment the responsibility for his safety was with the CIA. Her embassy in Tripoli was safe, they requested additional security and they got it. 2 of the folks killed in Benghazi were actually folks mobilized to the site because it was attacked, its not like there wasn't a rapid response, there was.

4 folks were killed in a dangerous country, most likely due to an act of terror by extremists. Not the first time it happened (for instance, Beirut had many more killed under Reagan) and it won't be the last. At least a dozen embassies were attacked during GWBs tenure in the White House as well. Heck, we lost thousands on 9/11 right here on our home soil. Its a dangerous world.

I honestly think that while the concern is seemingly well intentioned by the Right Wing in pursuing the answers as to what happened that night, there is an underlying (albeit and arguably subconscious) motivation to use this event to undermine a potential White House bid by the former Secretary. She is a formidable opponent and it has been a reliable tactic to tag Democrats with the label "They won't keep you safe and we will".

That tactic was surely undermined by 9/11, granted, since GWB didn't keep us safe and Clinton and Obama have. My point is that these things happen despite who is in office, all we can ask is that they try and stop what they can. But they cannot stop everything. Obama has been particularly effective against terrorists largely because he happens to be a rather vicious fellow when it comes to intervening, in example his love of drone strikes.

4 Americans, 2 of them responders who arrived to help. Quite honestly I don't think this is going to get the traction you all are hoping for if you hope to hurt her campaign, it honestly looks a bit opportunistic and desperate.

    I couldnt disagree more.

Theres a problem with "Secrecy" in the Obama Administration.

You cant lie to the entire country every freakn day and still have the American people trust you.

The fundamental issue with Benghazi, is the Obama Administration armed and provided material support to the sworn enemy of the United States of America, namely, Al Queda. Then Al Queda attacked our embassy in Benghazi. Obama and pals refused to provide weapons and material support to our Ambassador, when he asked for greater security. Ambassador Stevens sent photos of the Black Flag of Al Queda flying over the government buildings in Benghazi prior to the attack that took his life.

Please do the obama administration a favor and explain to me and every other American why it was a super awesome idea to provide material support and weapons to the sworn enemy of the American people.

Make sure you watch the last 2 videos, so you can see Obama backed Al Queda rebels murder Kaddafi, by sodomizing him with a knife.
