China is able to put 14 bullet trains into operation quickly, with own designs, why not US?

China has put world leading speed trains, of it's own design, into operation, in 7 sets of trains. They travel at 350kph.

Our planes top that, but you get a shakedown, threats and sometimes a clubbing, for simply trying to get to your destination. Let alone the 3 to 5 hour ordeal involved.

Jerry Brown wants a train in calif, and HE IS CRAZY. Way out MAN.

What is wrong with the capitalist system, that China can go gangbusters with good intentions, in it's infrastructure, and we are talking about limits, cuts, eliminations?

We usually get how much better the AMERICAN system is, than them commies, and yet we cant AFFORD the system we have.

Would I want to live in China? Nope. I would like to live in a VIBRANT, vital, ambitious USA.

Trump's vision, is throwing out lots of folks, to create a vast musical chairs. He is looking at the renaissance, and saying, I'll be the black plague.

Anyway, tell me how superior the capitalist system, shoving laissez faire is to them dirty commies?

Where are our bullet trains? The airlines, are designing out the slightly overweight, with seats resembling sardine cans, never mind what we want.

While I am at it, the Chinese commies fund TECHNOLOGY centers. With staffs of engineers, to apply to industrial problems. We cannot compete with that.

What is wrong? In your estimation?

?Yeah, I know, I created that technology. The morose, lame apologetics, of why we cant have nice things, is pathetic. So we don't have proper density for bullet trains, what DO we have the right population density to accomplish?

Tree huggers and environmentalists. Deport them to China, that'll stop it.

China is leading in some aspects now in climate change strategy. They will be well received.

There is MUCH beauty in Chinese landscapes.

We are giving our national parks to industry.

Boring, they PROMISED me at least a jetpack, if not then at least a helicopter.

As you can see, I am similar to Trump base. I am white and I was made promises that were wrapped in a pretty bow called, AMERICAN DREAM.

My wife's family could all lose their land to a high speed rail line between Houston and Dallas. I can already drive it in 3 hours. Why do I need a rail?

The rail, is a euphemism, for better, ergonomic society. Surely you don't think this is IT?

Any rail is not worth paying for if we'd rather drive. We can't even keep Amtrak solvent.

Sounds like you guys don't KNOW how NOT to wallow in the mire we currently reside.

This country needs philosophers. A marshall plan for dreamers.

Awesome! Are you really Al Gore?

Unlike totalitarian socialist China, the US Constitution prevents the government from moving millions of people off their lands and into camps to facilitate building a high tech choo-choo. :)
