    http://thenewdaily.com.au/news/world/2017/08/07/china-warns-north-korea/

China has issued a blunt warning to North Korea, telling the increasingly isolated nation to stop provoking other countries.

The warning from Pyongyang’s staunchest ally follows a United Nations Security Council resolution Sunday that imposed severe new sanctions on North Korea for its continued intercontinental ballistic missile testing and violations of UN resolutions.

The resolution, passed unanimously, targets North Korea’s primary exports – including coal, iron, iron ore, lead, lead ore and seafood – as well as banking and joint ventures with foreign companies.

The sanctions are expected to slash North Korea’s annual export revenue of US$3 billion (A$3.8 billion) by more than a third, according to a statement from US ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley.

Now that people is what is called amazingly historic news. I wonder if it will lead off the broadcasts at ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN.... oh wait... NOPE!

Trump not only got a U.N. Resolution with Russia and China on board, but he also got China to issue a stark and blunt warning to North Korea.

That is what is called uuuuuge success.

Whether you are a Liberal or a Conservative, if you are an honest person, you have to give Trump credit for nailing it on this one.

    A+ Trump

Yep.....Trump got China thinking he will strike N Korea. Gets the Chinese to approve of sanctions, along with the Russians. Xi and Putin didn't want to chance those waters.

But the question is, what will China do now knowing Lil Kim can put a nuke on an ICBM.

Good question. Given that they are going to be seen as cutting the NK's off, there seems to me to be a lot more Chinese targets from Pyong Yang.

Well we wont be seeing Lil Kim threaten China, and they also know Trump still might just put the hit on N Korea.

No way, no how is China going to piss off their best customer and banking client, the US. I would not be surprised if China put a hit out on Kim.

    Pretty typical of China IMO.

Yes, Trump definitely had something to do with it, but to me it is more of China's "bend but don't break" strategy.

When North Korea actually became an issue "Now" they would do something to step up to the plate. Until then however, it was just an unnecessary cost to do anything about it

It's good news, but China needs to follow through. NK is way out of line.

Trump said NK wouldn't fire any ICBMs....fail
Said china was going to put them in check months ago...fail
Said if they threatened us he'd blow them up, the same day they said they might nuke Guam...fail

    Am I missing the success?

Getting China to publicly rebuke NK is a good move - and a win for an embattled admin - now he just needs to ensure they stick to their guns.

    Trump from may:

North Korea has shown great disrespect for their neighbor, China, by shooting off yet another ballistic missile...but China is trying hard!

    How'd that work out?

Why can't this be a slight win and a slight loss for Trump? I am -not- a Trump fan but I can see the value in getting China to smack Pyongyang across it's fat cheery face for once.

    Can't you?

North Korea just stated that it is in the final stages of developing a nuclear weapon capable of reaching parts of the U.S. It won't happen!

Isn't it a good thing for Pyongyang's keeper to smack it into it's place?

Trump would know what MSM doesn't. He also knows that he was told less than 6 months ago by outgoing intel sources that North Korea was about 5 years from being able to miniaturize a nuke to fit their ICBM's. Intel is still too sketchy and could prove to be unreliable as it has been in the past.

Trump's words may not have been what some dems consider PC but Kim and more importantly China may understand from his tone that he might just be as crazy as dems think he is. If they do, we may have a little more time to choke off their oil in addition to more of their revenue from exports with even more sanctions.

They're most likely spending all of their time on the Manafort story.

I'm under the impression that you'd love nothing more for NK to nuke a few million people, preferably Americans, and watch as this country and the world fall into turmoil just so you could criticize Trump.

I am a Trump supporter but these words from China are worthless.

China is so much a military ally of N. Korea they sent an invasion force against American troops. China is why the N.K. dictatorial and sadist dynasty exists and remains in total power. N. Korea is China's private sweatshop - essentially slave labor and China's military ally. N.K.'s missiles and nuclear bombs essential are "Made In China" with a "Made In Korea" sticker put over it.
