He used CNNi reports that literally anyone can post. He claims he didn't know that.............and this guy is Intel? I can't say anything surprises me anymore. He knew the source was b.s. and he used it because the other sources he used were b.s.

Christopher Steele admitted using posts by 'random individuals' on CNN website to back up Trump dossier
Former British spy Christopher Steele admitted that he relied on an unverified report on a CNN website for part of the "Trump dossier," which was used as a basis for the FBI's investigation into Trump.

According to deposition transcripts released this week, Steele said last year he used a 2009 report he found on CNN's iReport website and said he wasn't aware that submissions to that site are posted by members of the public and are not checked for accuracy.

A web archive from July 29, 2009 shows that CNN described the site in this manner: “iReport.com is a user-generated site. That means the stories submitted by users are not edited, fact-checked, or screened before they post.”

    Jeez

-British spy Steele: "if it's on the internets it must be true"
-Hillary (President wanna be): "I don't remember nothing"-Loretta Lynch: "we only discussed grandchildren on the tarmac"
-Comey: "no prosecutor would press charges against Hillary"
-Rat Rosenstein: "who.. me...wearing wire in the white house?... I was just kidding"

With excuses like these that a 10 year old would be embarrassed to use, the case against this gang of conspirators should be a slam dunk..... Now that Sessions is finally history and Mueller's witch hunt is winding down, if Trump's DOJ does not prosecute at least some of them in the next 2 years he'll have himself only to blame if he loses reelection.

There's no reason for the DOJ to not indict Steele for lying to the FBI. This further cements it.

You can tell the natives are getting restless.

The noise about the "dossier" is being cracked back up to 11 by the more extreme trash blogs, and the whataboutism is up there too.

It is noteworthy that the entire meme is ridiculous on its face. The "dossier" is an opposition research document, which does not need to meet the standards of a court of law.

None the less, Steele's research exposed information about the activities of the Trump campaign that had already been noticed by a number of intelligence agencies (the other ones who watch the Russians), and forwarded to the FBI.

This meme was manufactured in the Trump White House in January of 2017.

Other than the obvious fact that this meme is as nonsensical as the one about the imaginary plot to "delegitimize" Trump AFTER the election.

But the cult of personality is strong. And the neck muscles of Trumpsters are very strong. They've been doing their stretching exercises too! It takes a lot of effort to look the other way as the publicly available facts keep piling up and as the fuhrer keeps trying to hide.

If the whole reason for the investigation is a scam than the investigation is a scam which makes all of this a witch hunt, which was said from the get go.

    Interesting revelation.

Apparently the alt-left noise machine is growing increasingly paranoid as it's three ring circus continues to fall apart.

It's not a meme, this case in London is solidifying Steele's place in an American prison. And this myth(As well as the Downer myth) resulted in the waste of FBI resources. Such waste of resources endanger America to foreign adversaries from around the world.

MI6 said it wouldn't allow Steele to be subjected to congressional subpoena, in response to the mere suggestion one be issued. The England's national security meme was their alibi. Halper / Dearlove / Steele / Downer are all members of the same fraternities, Hakluyt & co. and Cambridge.

    Interesting revelation.

So it appears the messaging from the New Democratic Party's propaganda operations will continue down the line of this reinvented narrative about the dossier.

I imagine they are counting on the short attention span of their target audience, who will be expected to forget how much weight they gave the dossier over the last 2 1/2 years.

It's 'prolly not gonna happen. Bill Priestep still won't tell anyone about his trip to London. No one's grilled Halper for chris' sake. Misfud who disappeared / reappeared and contadicted everthing that's been reported, has been ignored too. Halper is the deep state lynchpin in all of this. Halper's been infiltrating campaigns for almost 40 yrs. Both Mueller & Obama were / are keenly aware of that, and took full advantage as well.

    "Revalation"?

I have been saying the exact same thing ever since Devin Nunes rushed to the White House that night to play his part in the little staged stunt that the White House used to launch this "steele dossier" meme. It only took a couple of days for the stunt to fall apart, and for people to find out that the whole thing had been cooked up by Bannon and Zorka and that Nunes was rushing to the White House to tell them what they had told Nunes to tell them (and the television cameras).

"I imagine they are counting on the short attention span of their target audience, who will be expected to forget how much weight they gave the dossier over the last 2 1/2 years."

Actually, Trumpsters demonstrate their ignorance of the basic facts of the Trump Russia affair every single day. Your response of a typical example, and typically false.

The only people who have given weight to the "dossier" are folks like you. The right wing noise machine has been yelling "dossier" for two and a half years. Nobody else is even talking about it.

But it is getting more and more common for Trumpsters to resort to these obviously false inversions.

Never mind that Obama's DOJ / FBI portrayed Steele as a reliable intelligence asset to FISA ... versus a Jerome Corsi-esque conspiracy theorist / interwebs sleuth he's been exposed as.

All true... it might have been different if the Steele Dossier was responsible for opening any of the investigations into Trump and his campaign of criminality OR have been used in any of the indictments or prosecutions to date, but it has NOT...

It was a fun read, but the Steele Dossier has certainly not proven to be anything that can be taken to the bank (or in Trumps case, taken from the bank)

Of course I have, and have posted all of my links and sources on numerous occasions, on numerous threads. What specific point would you like to again burden me with? I'm sure you've probably dismissed the material before, but I'm willing to humor you again.

Hard to imagine a more empty reply to the relevant facts.

    Shocking it was attempted, really.
