    Novichok
The first 5 min of video has the summary of the story. This reminds me of the fake news on the Syrian gas attacks that lead Trump to fire all the cruise missiles.

on edit: At 23:00 they note how the Skirpal Novichok affair seemed to copy earlier TV programs.

Here is the summary. According to the NYT, the dep. CIA director Gina Haspel feed Trump info about the Skirpal Russian poisoning case. She showed Trump photos of children hospitalized because of poisoning and of ducks killed by the poison. This swayed Trump who then expelled 60 Russian diplomats. BUT ... there were no poisoned children or ducks. Somebody was lying to Trump.

Wow, the CIA lied to Trump. That's not a surprise to me. But, I think Trump has every reason to be mad. And maybe he'll learn to trust but verify.

If I were in Trump's position, I realize, now, I would have to be careful listening to the advice of my advisers.

Like so many government stories these days, it was obvious at the beginning that this was just another false flag meant to make the Russians look bad.

Like MH17 in 2014, the facts did not support the narrative. The only goal of the Brits was the demonization of Putin.

Common Sense can still work if people use it.

I don't know who's worse when it comes to feeding fake intelligence to world leaders, the CIA or Mi-6.

Likely they consult on most matters, trading off, as it were.

do you really think the British killed the Russian agent? That would be outrageous. Russia might avenge them In the dark Where no one can see it.

Your entire premise is pure BS where is your NYT article showing any mention of children or ducks??And not a single mention of the other person who died of Novichok poisoning in nearby town of Amesbury 44 year old Dawn Sturgess who's death did not occur until 4 months later in July of 2018??

The New York Times Tries to Get Itself Out of the Duckgate Hole Using a Spade
    June 5, 2019 Rob Slane
    ...
Below is Mr Barnes’s explanation on Twitter for the error and the correction:

“I made a significant error in my April 16 profile of Gina Haspel. It took a while to figure out where I went wrong. Initially, I reported that in March 2018, Gina Haspel, then the future CIA director, briefed President Trump about the Skirpal nerve agent attack, showing pictures of sickened children and dead ducks. That was wrong. There are—so far as we know—no pictures of dead ducks or sickened kids. Haspel did show pictures to Trump, but they were about the effects of nerve agents in general, they were not specific to the attack in the UK.
    ...

    Rob Slane
Thank you for clarifying that Ms Haspel did indeed wilfully mislead the President.”

If the Russian secret service - or any other intelligence agency of a major power - wanted someone dead - they would not be living. That the Agent and his daughter did not die - pretty much proves it was not Russia.

There are numerous other possibilities - false flag being one. The increasing use of false flags by the US and others - and increase in propaganda is a big problem these days - and it is not like killing a few people matters to these folks.

"Wow," you say? The job of the CIA is to lie to everyone, not just Trump or any president. They are trained to lie and to concoct scenarios in order to make the lie seem plausible or to just cover up their lies. How could you be "wow'd"? :confuse:

I don't see why the Russians would want the guy dead now.
If they did want him dead they would walk up behind him and put a 22 slug in his brain

Why would they use some poison linked to Russia and include his daughter and throw the perfume bottle having the poison in a public park and ....

Maybe the guy was still involved in some shifty business. I mean these guys learn to lie, cheat and steal for a living, as do the CIA and KGB. Maybe he crossed someone.

I think the MI-6 has turned deception into an art. They financially support their own creations - such as Bellingscat, White Helmets and Syrian Observatory, and to give them credibility they quote them in the MSM.

The CIA doesn't seem to have their expertise, but the 'five eyes'; aka the US, UK, Australia, Canada and New Zealand do work in tandem.

    We're here, we're there
    we're everywhere,
    no matter what the area.

We never shirk to do our work,
as you have seen in Syria.

Skripals daughter's boyfriend and his mother were Russian agents, which means they wanted something from her. Maybe information from her father, or to pass false information to her father. The MI6 got whiff of it and decided to kill them or at least try to kill them and blame Russia. It's how they work.

Her boyfriend and mother disappeared right after the poisoning. I think that Julia Skripal did contact someone which means she's still alive, but doesn't know about her father. He was probably killed..

What with the poisoning of the Russian agent and now the Skripals, the Russian oligarchs who ran out of Russia to avoid paying taxes are negotiating their return. They are scared stiff. Putin said he could care less if they came back, but he wants the money they stole. I recall reading how one Russian in a British hospital freaked a few years back when they were moving him to another hospital and insisted he be sent back to Russia.

I also heard that Putin brought his own bottled water when visiting London years ago. Not a safe place for Russians I guess.

Exactly - There are way to many absurdities in this case to take the Brit's/US claims seriously. Russia had the dude in their custody in Jail. They let him go. This is Russia we are talking about - if some one is a threat to state security of any significance -- they don't let you out of Jail - they lock you up and throw away the key or kill you.

So why kill this guy ? Then - to do it with a chemical agent like Novichok ... get serious - this is a seriously cumbersome way to do things - and further - makes Russia a suspect. Russia may be many things but stupid is not one of them. There are a gazillion ways to kill someone. Why would anyone risk even transporting Novicheck from Russia to Britain. This is loony tunes.

Then - after the fact the Brits refuse to follow established chemical convention procedure- a convention to which Britain is a signatory - by providing Russia with a sample. There are all kinds of other things that were fishy - the first person on the scene "just happened" to be the head Nurse for the British Military. There is other stuff as well.

Then the story somehow just went away - no further details of the investigation provided - no closure.

And of course - if these two were actually exposed to Novichok - why are they still alive ??

On top of all this the newly elected Malaysian president is raising hell over the MH17 investigation. That was the plane shot down over Ukraine. Malaysia was shut out of the investigation he said, even though it was their airplane. He thinks the investigation existed to blame Russia.
