I don't have or use it. Twitter and DU has been pretty amusing although at DU they are more concerned with putting the unvaccinated in camps.

My conservative friends here will taze me for saying it, but I feel sympathy for Chris Cuomo. It was his lecherous brother's transgressions and an exaggerated sense of family loyalty that caused his downfall.

His politics aren't mine, but none of us is all good or all bad. And I saw some flashes of fairness in the very few 2 minute tranches of his show I could stand. I don't believe he was unintelligent, as Tucker Carlson and many others have alleged. People have done worse. Hell, I've done worse.

For me its the fact that either Cuomo abused their positions to cover up the victims of Andrew's sexual assault.

Chris used his position to suppress those women.

Which proves that you accept the MSM framing and narrative. I don't believe any of this has a thing to do with sexual harassment. The elder Cuomo should have been fired and arrested after he murdered thousands of elderly by inserting Covid into retirement homes. The younger Cuomo should have been fired for lying to the American people for the past 5 years from his position of power.

I believe the Cuomos were taken out by people further up the food chain for reasons not apparent. If I had to guess, they want to replace straight white masculine men with with women, POC or LGVBQTYQ#@!EFFEFWFGGQWDAEWSS#YWFW...... people who can use their identity to eviscerate any condemnation of their corruption. The elder Cuomo has been replaced with a woman who may be replaced with a POC woman in the near future. I would bet money that Fredo will be replaced with anything other than a straight white masculine man.

If the Democrats cared about ACTUAL corruption that does ACTUAL harm to millions of people, they would be investigating the emails that prove Biden is owned by Chinese oligarchs, Democrat governors who put Covid patients into nursing homes or Fauci's funding of the Covid virus.

In sum, this "scandal" is just more evidence of how utterly corrupt and morally bankrupt the Democrats are. They use power politics to take out their own, gin up evidence of their corruption and have the MSM do the framing for them. They completely ignore the obvious and provable corruption that harms ordinary people. The right should utterly reject any framing of the MSM.... every single bit of it. It is all lies.

A great example of MSM corrupt framing is the Waukesha massacre. The majority of Americans believe the killer was fleeing police and do not know about his calls to violence against white people on social media. Silicon Valley has jumped in by burying those posts and making them damn near unfindable. This is a gross and inexcusable distortion of reality and demonstrates that America is becoming a banana republic where the media exists only to promulgate the power of the 0.001%.

You aren't making any sense. Both Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity have overtly sympathized with Mr. Cuomo.

I suspect that you watch snippets of Fox News from some leftist platform like Huffpo and are predisposed to assume they stand for what they do not.

Oh come on. He tried to use his journalistic sources to find dirt to be thrown at one of the women who accused his brother. This is not only sleazy but also a violation of his journalistic code of ethics and of his contract with CNN. What kind of sympathy can be had? CNN was 100% right in firing him, and he brought it upon himself. I have zero sympathy for unethical people. A sense of family loyalty should not override professional ethics. Can you imagine if, as a physician, let's say my hospital had a female patient whom my brother sexually harassed, and I used my access to the confidential information in her medical record to discredit her. I'd get fired by the hospital, fined by HIPAA, and the Medical Board would sanction me, all for good reason, as it would be a gross violation of my professional code of ethics.

Andrew Cuomo had Presidential aspirations and I suspect the DNC didn't want that to happen.

I was hoping they'd toss Don Lemon next but he's a +2 over fredo on the democrat grievance hierarchy by also being black and gay.

Tug it Toobin was +1 by having Indian ancestry.

I don't deny any if that or defend his actions.
I just feel sympathy because it never would have happened had his brother not been a dog. He's not a monster. But he had to go and it's ruined his career. Also he has young-ish children and they are going to be humiliated and ashamed.

Probably not. Fredo’s termination opens up a spot for a half black, half Mexican tranny. The riots will start if CNN hires a straight white male, and we all know they’ll never do that.

Put this way, yes, one can feel some compassion. He made a grave mistake and paid for it. Yes, his wife and children will suffer from it. Yes, I can feel sorry for them, and even a little bit for him, exclusively from the perspective you've mentioned. Yes, his brother is much more of a monster; Chris Cuomo was kind of collateral damage to his brother's ambition and abhorrent lack of ethics and decency.

But I think Chris Cuomo will probably bounce back. There is no shortage of media that will want to give him a microphone. Some people will find it good that he tried to discredit women who were making sexual harassment allegations. He'll have to do an ideological shift... because the left-leaning media won't want to touch him with a 10-feet pole.

I don't think so. The left-leaning people will be outraged at him, that he tried to discredit a woman who was claiming sexual harassment. He'll be tarred and feathered. They will side with CNN and applaud his dismissal.

Whether he knew of guilt or not, crossing ethical boundaries as a journalist to help him was the behavior that got him **** canned and rightfully so.

IDk. New owners seems intent on moving the network away from the obnoxious partisan programming so he was probably going either way. It was just a matter of whether or not he was getting bought out or curbed.

It's actually a major reason why I don't do anything stupid on social media - mostly by avoiding it altogether. I really don't wanna jeopardize my career or embarrass my family.

I agree with you to a point - his sympathizing with his brother and tossing him softballs, I can sorta get behind, even if it made CNN's integrity - well, if it had any left at that point - go down the Toobin tubes. But the moment he started trying to dig up dirt on his brother's accuser like some judicial; vigilante, that's where he lost all sympathy from me, and should have from just about everyone else. Also, there's no freakin' way that a bunch of CNN execs didn't know about this. The network is pretty much a cesspool of corruption.

I'm a bit surprised by what @Chrizton just said above - CNN is getting new owners? Hmm?
