A media outlet has every right and duty to review content published in its name.

Yep. They are under no obligation to tell the truth. They can literally say anything that doesn't violate FCC content morality rules.

We did have a law at one time prohibiting propaganda... which are lies, but it's been removed. I don't know when?

I personally feel that there should be more stringent laws against lying, especially during elections... but of course that will never be unless there's a drastic change in our societal morals. We would have to have a certain belief in a higher power, instead of feeling one is free to manipulate people and circumstances to their own self interests.

Wait, editorial standards that are followed by every other news organization are now 1984? I don't even...but...wait now...are you...what???

If you had read 1984, you would know how silly you sound right about now.
