What would have been the "perfect plan". We got over 120,000 people out in a very short time. When Trump went off on NATO you didn't give a crap about our allies so why the concern now? Evacuating from Bagram instead of Kabul would have done wonders to improve the security situation. We'll never know definitively if that improved security situation would have been enough to prevent the attack that killed 13 service members. We do know for a fact what happened when Biden incompetently tried to perform the evacuation from Kabul weeks after abandoning Bagram: 13 service members KIA. The bottom line is that Biden said the withdrawal would be "safe and orderly" and it was neither.

The point is that in July Biden said: "The Taliban is not the North Vietnamese army. They are not remotely comparable in terms of capability. There is going to be no circumstance in which you are going to see people being lifted off the roof of an embassy of the United States from Afghanistan. It is not at all comparable." And then a few weeks later, the Taliban had conquered so much of the country that we had to evacuate our embassy staff via helicopter. Biden has been dead wrong about every aspect of this debacle.

If this is true, then it's only because you have a poor memory. It happened, plenty, to President Trump.
