We now know the investigation was a sham..

The FBI. Knew it was a sham while they were conducting it.

In what just world would we allow the DOJ to prosecute people for lying to investigators conducting a fraudulent investigation.?

Cops show up to your house for a court ordered search. Your neighbor who hates you is one of cops. That cop starts asking you questions about a crime you didn't commit. You tell that cop something of questionable truthfulness. Should the district attorney be able to prosecute you?

What if after being in jail for a year the truth comes out about the investigation what should happen to you?

 

That is your heavily jaded opinion of the investigation which is worthless. What did the IG from the DOJ find regarding the investigation. I have not yet heard the results of any credible probe which have found that the various investigations into Russian intervention into our election process were illegal or improper. When you have some official and credible evidence of that, present it. Otherwise you are just howling at the moon.

 

The political establishment's schemes to rig the election and then to remove the winner from office are criminal. Felons tend to be unethical.
