Comparing the fate of Chelsea Manning and the war criminals she exposed makes for depressing reading

Manning served her time, and after an extensive investigation the Department of Defence released a report saying that her actions resulted ‘no significant strategic impact on U.S. war efforts’. It further clarified that there were certainly no soldiers who were endangered due to the breach, contradicting General Stanley McChrystal’s earlier smear against Manning and Wikileaks.

Now she is back in the real world, but far from liberated. As well as being unable to obtain a visa to any other country with the ‘treason’ label being placed upon her head by the US military, she is gagged from speaking about almost anything political and is routinely ostracised from public life due to behind-the-scenes coercion from the Pentagon.

She was due to be named the first ever LGBT visiting fellow at the University of Harvard, but this honour was quickly rescinded after Harvard’s resolve gave-in to a mountain of pressure coming from former spooks and intelligence-type ******bags who make up a worryingly large number of positions at the university.

I thought the person concerned was male. You refer to him as 'she'.

War crimes. Hate crimes. Neighborhood crimes. Is any one lesser or greater than the others?

Whistle blowing is like calling police. At least she did her civilian duty. She might not be appreciated in a place where whistles need to be blown but she might get recruited into a place that holds honesty in honor. If quasi ****** bags can be employed with an ivy league, then anything is possible.

Keep in mind how Harvard got its upstanding reputation. It was once a very upright establishment.

Sadly; however, it takes less time to bring down a good reputation than it does to build one.

I would hope that Chelsea Manning not give in to those she finds as unjust.

Defending the truth is the U.S. way, right?

What is the truth which is defended?

Each U.S. State has a set of dependable and defendable rights.

State leaders who do not agree are still voted in, which is their State given dependable and defendable right.

If more citizens was as the whistle blower, there might be less voted in corruption.

1 + 1 can be either 1 or 2 depending on your marriage ethics and morals.

But there is not much to fear for those who prefer uprightness over crookedness. Soon, A Mighty Help will come to assist the agenda of right doing.

Perhaps some have lost their directional compass. A redirecting, detour signs, reentry signs... They will all be placed up.

For those that desire to return back to their homes, the roads back will be pointed out.

Follow the yellow brick road. The roads that lead away from homes cannot be yellow. It is too bright to lead to a life away from home and family.

And won't getting back home be so blessed!!
