In a way it is a current event in that it was only recently labeled domestic terrorism. The current administration is not focusing on the allegedly left wing terrorism in our country like BLM, Antifa, black bloc, and environmental terrorists, only on allegedly right wing violence.

United States Capitol Police Special Agents David Bailey and Crystal Griner, Alexandria (VA) Police Officers Nicole Battaglia, Alexander Jensen and Kevin Jobe Scalise's security detail who kept the shooter at bay and from advancing any further on his victims are dressed in suits. The Alexandria Police Officers who responded to a shots fired call and took down the shooter with gunfire are in uniform. The shooter wounded both of Scalise's security detail, one Aide, and three Republican Congressmen, two gravely. All but the shooter survived.

If not for Trump and Jan 6th there would be no reason for lefties to even log into this forum. Without Trump, they'd be forced to talk about Biden....and we know they don't want to do that. Jan. 6th gives them something that they can blame on righties since they really had no ammunition before or since. They were tired of months and months of rioting being pinned on them so they love having a single day they can call their own.
