morality has changed, that's for sure. Back then, America use to be a lot more Conservative, and people would constantly go to bed with their doors unlocked. People had more manners, and morality. But since then, there's been the sexual revolution, trans, gay marriage, abortion went federal and legal for 50+ years, crime became cool and popular, rapists and murderers aren't considered as bad, drugs are popular. Well, that's part of the Democrat Agenda. I have several people in my town constantly give me dirty looks. I have several signs up in my sunroom, for anyone to see that pass by, and one of those signs says this: No Junkies, or Dealers allowed on the premises. and I've heard from people in my town that at least between 33percent to 50 percent of people smoke pot in my town. lol. I got big b... lol
18's a good rule of thumb. I wouldn't mind raising it for irreversible procedures like surgical mutilations for gender transitions, but you gotta let them make their own call at some point.
The ideal age would be 26. By then you have a fully mature adult brain. Age 21 for 3.2% beer, 2% marijuana (aka “ditch weed”), and no other psycho active drugs at all before 26 yrs. Yeah, I get the “If you are old enough to fight for your country, yada, yada”, but we are an “all volunteer” force now. Now politicians, doctors, car salesmen, etc., can appeal to the idealism of youth. It distorts national decision making.

It wasn’t part of the argument per se, except that 18 year olds given the right to vote was the fact that they could be drafted. IMO, 18 year olds should not be eligible to vote.
I have a tendency to agree on your opinion about 18 year olds voting. But if the are in the COMBAT ARMS... they should be able to vote and drink.
