I don't know that I agree with that.

The cartels in Mexico are at least very predictable: They want money, they want to consolidate control over their market and get rid of competitors, and they want revenge.

Sometimes completely innocent people get caught up in the violence, but they don't specifically target random innocent people. (Or if they do it's to kidnap them to try to get money)

Mexican gangs may outdo ISIS in thievery and corruption, but ISIS outdoes Mexican gangs when it comes to violence and rape.

 

and they sell products that kill tens of thousands of Americans every year.

 

At least these victims made their own choice to use those products.

That's not quite as a bad as homicide.

California legalized marijuana and there is still plenty of crime by cartels. A cop was just killed by 2 illegal cartel members in el dorado county.

A friend who is a firefighter put out a fire at a "grow house".

While they were doing this, cartel members went to the fire station, broke into each crew members vehicles and took just their vehicle registration. It was a warning saying they know who they are.

Now they carry all identifying documents in a small pouch and lock them in the station.

 

No people chose crime.. no one forces them into it. And certainly no one fores you into brutality.

So when you make guns illegal you gonna be complaining about violent gun traffickers?

disagree, prohibition of alcohol created crime, you can deny that, but history shows it to be true

it takes large demand, normal guns will never be illegal, so demand for machine guns will never be great enough to create the crime in the same numbers

you take a nice family drinking wine with dinner, arrest them for nothing more then drinking wine with dinner, give them a criminal record, it's the gateway to crime for many

 

Don't worry, I'm pretty sure that if the people who did that would cross the border, they would be peace loving people. Border seems to have magical effects.
