Italy put it on 4% rate that dies. There are soo many people who need care, that they fail to provide care to all who need. Some are just left dying on their own because the ER is full. That's not "hysteria". That's how it is. And Donald, the idiot, compared this to "a flu". His supporters just swallowed it as the truth.

 

At very same time the US looks nothing like Italy. Damn, Trump is good...

 

In the US we have 49 deaths and 2100 known cases. Overall that is a 2.3% death rate,

But again, it seems the death rate for the vulnerable is more like 15%

 

yesterday it was 1100 confirmed case now its 2100, so its doubling every single day. around march 1-2 it was at 100 case or so i'm guessing by tommorow it will be 3-4k, the day after 5-7k etc. remember italy thought they only have hundred case, before they knew it, it become 12,000 and counting up.

 

One of the side effects of the coronavirus is diarrhea (at least some people have reported it).

 

A) Using the worst country as your metric for boosting Trump is really pathetic.
B) The United States is doing worse than Italy so far.

 

Yes, we are just reaching a point where we will know if this will be another Italy or not. That is why it is so critical to reduce the rate of transmission and "flatten the curve", so we don't overwhelm hospitals and other resources.

In fact we are less prepared than Italy was or as bad, in many ways. First and foremost we don't have much surge capacity in hospitals or enough ventilators.

WHAT A FREAKING IDIOT!!!

Colorado ski areas, of course, draw wealthy people from all over the world, and the DIA international airport in Denver is the arrival point in the state, and then people drive (or are driven) to the resort areas. Metro Denver has a population at just about three million people....

 

Overall, 2100 is not the denominator to use in making your death rate calculation.
Number of infected is the proper denominator and you have no clue what that number is.

If this this is spread around the country, millions already have it, like the millions that have corona virus every single year

 

Neither are the death rates of the flu accurate. Many get the flu and never report it . Unless it turns into pneumonia .

True, but we also know that in a home with 120 patients, 18 patients have died from Covid 19 and others are still seriously ill.

That is in line with other estimates I've seen that the mortality rate for the vulnerable is about 15%
