If you really think the article is saying diversity is more important than the corona-virus issue, it’d be a dumb response. If you don’t really think that, it’d just dishonest.

Diversity is a valid topic of discussion and that picture just happened to be a stark expression of the issue, a starting point for discussion. It’ll be entirely separate from their actual reporting of the corona-virus situation, which is also a valid topic of discussion.

I doubt trump personally picked the team. If they were looking for the best of the best and that turned out to be white people this is pragmatism and what intelligence would do.

2) the Corona beer thing was sarcasm
3) there is a lot of white going on in both those pictures. Except I noticed the Obama team is chilling all comfortably with their bottled water, and the Trump team is too busy working to even stop for some poland springs

 

There are so many valid points to critique Trump on, but it's things like this which make people tune out and miss the important stuff.

The author is being critical of the (purported) fact that the entire administration isn't very diverse. Again, the fact this particular picture was related to the corona-virus is irrelevant either way. It isn't the first time a picture of a meeting of serious government officials has been commented on in this way and it won't be the last.

By your argument, isn't the fact you chose to start a thread about this rather than about the corona-virus mean you're considering it more important than the health situation too?

 

I don't know how you got that from the article and I don't know how you can claim to speak for every single individual who is part of any kind of minority group (which is most of us one way or another) and declare the one thing they all want.
