I made the following statement today and I felt that this would make an interesting poll in this Religion and Philosophy section:

I regard that Rabbi Alon Anava's teachings are probably far, far, far, far far more like the teachings of Rabbi Yeshua - Jesus than any Christian on earth..........
but Catholics and Mormons are closer than most due to their taking NDE accounts rather seriously.........

I am now at the two hour and seventeen minute mark in this video..... after listening to it two times last week...... This is profoundly encouraging to me......

1 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.

2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, hewas afterward an hungred.

3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.

4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

5 Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,

6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

    8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;

9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.

The verses that I bolded remind me of what people report when they have an out of the body experience..... or near death experience. If so..... then perhaps Rabbi Alon Anava may have an advantage over Christians who have not yet had either an out of body experience or near death experience in how he approaches life and reaching out to those he considers to be lost?????

At the forty minute mark in the video on his NDE..... Rabbi Alon Anava begins to go into an experience that sure reminds me of what Pastor Rick Joyner reports thirty paragraphs below the heading:

    http://64.71.77.248/fq-protestant/tfq-en.html

    The Truth of Grace

    ......
Rabbi Alon Anava reports feeling the eyes of all Jews from all times on him..........
and he has no mitzvah's to cover himself with....... Pastor Rick Joyner... calls his experience.... The Judgment Sea of Christ.....

    This all reminds me of:

Numbers 12:3 "(Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.)"

It hit me as I was waking up this morning that not only is Rabbi Alon Anava probably more like the
historical Rabbi Yeshua - Jesus and his cousin John the Baptist than 99.9% of Christian theologians but also......
the extreme FEAR OF G-D that Rabbi Alon faced during his near death experience also made him arguably more
like Moses..... than 99% of Jewish theologians, (most Jewish theologians are not near death experiencers so
Rabbi Alon Anava has a serious edge over other Jews who did not go through what he went through)!

Proverbs 1:7 "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction."

Rabbi Alon Anava FEARS G-D/ HASHEM.... at a level that a non-near death experiencer would have
enormous difficulty understanding..... .which prepares him for true wisdom......... which..... also prepares him for HONOUR!

Proverbs 9:10 "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding."

Proverbs 15:33 "The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is humility."

Isaiah 11:2 "And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;"

I am convinced that the G-d of Abrham wants Jews and Christians to take
steps toward each other. I believe that G-d wants President Trump to cooperate with
    P. M. Benjamin Netanyahu to rebuild the Jerusalem Third Temple........
so that the fulfillment of Zechariah 14............... which can be metaphorical as well as powerful........
and perhaps not hardly like some doomsday preachers imagined....

This information can assist Jews and Christians to come closer together....

Near death experiencer Bruce MacDonald was shown much more about the hidden teachings of Rabbi Yeshua. You can find out more about the Jewishness of Rabbi Yeshua - Jesus here:

If Rabbi Alon Anava will take me on as a student........
I will try my best to explain how a very ordinary Canadian might just be able to set in motion a series of events that could potentially lead to two......... Jerusalem and near Jerusalem Third Temple.... both of which should cost the Israel taxpers.....ZERO...... if my understanding of the relevant prophecies is at all accurate.......

Does this justify stealing the land owned by Palestinians, ruling them with foreign military law and without representation, in bulldozing their homes, stealing their water rights?

I realize that the God of the OT was certainly accepted as calling on the wholesale slaughter of nonbelievers.

But, Christianity has moved beyond slavery, wholesale slaughter, etc.

So, I think it's particularly of interest to know where any movement involving Israelis fits into this picture.

When a group of people choose a truly terrible person to lead them ......
    there are consequences.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amin_al-Husseini
I personally very much liked the film "An Inconvenient Truth"....
I have watched it several times..... but just as Mr. Al Gore sold most educators on the idea
of a carbon tax or cap and trade system as the best response to climate change...... so also

...Al-Husseini may well have been the one who sold.......... the idea of the Holocaust..... to
Adolf Hitler and many leading Nazis.

When a group of people follow a truly terrible person....... there are consequences to their actions..........

Could the paltry little bit of real estate that the Jewish people were given in 1948..........make up for the leadership of the Palestinians convincing Hitler to follow a policy of genocide on the Jews of Europe.... (if the theory that Al-Husseini sold the idea of genocide on the Jewish people to the leadership of the Nazi Party of Germany in the 1930's is basically accurate)?

Mr. Al Gore's Carbon Tax plan would also set the world up for control by bureaucrats...... who can become highly unethical as well...... So even though I liked his film.... I immediately disagreed with him over what would be the most effective short term strategy for stabilization of the climate....... considering the full range of likely world events........ two of which are the collapse of the land based Greenland Ice Pack and the West Antarctic Ice Sheet.......

This is absolute and TOTAL BS as a reason for the ethnic cleansing Israel has been carrying out for more than a decade.

Abbas has worked closely with the IDF, which has called him their closes ally in security. He has accomplished such goals as unifying the governments of Gaza and West Bank - harshly and successfully undermined and defeated by Netanyahu, even though the new government was soundly predicated on negotiation as the only path, renunciation of militant activity, included NO seats for Hamas.

So YOU come up with some DEAD GUY - a guy who died more than 40 years ago???

This is the kind of defense of ethnic cleansing that SHOULD be prosecuted by the UN.

And, it IS opposed by pretty much every nation in the entire world - except the US, who uses its veto to protect Israel's criminal activity.

Sorry. I have NO RESPECT for your argument ... AT ALL.

The ancestors of the Palestinians are largely likely the Messianic Jews of the time of the Bar Kochba Revolt.... who did NOT join the Bar Kochba Revolt.... and thus were not expelled from the Roman Province of Palestine..........
but their descendants were largely converted to Islam.........
but the promise of RESTORATION applies to all the tribes of Israel which includes the Palestinians.

Are the Palestinians the Jews NOT expelled from Judaea after Bar Kochba Revolt?

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tsvi_Misinai

I personally believe that the restoration of all the lost tribes of Israel..... including the Palestinians..... is coming pretty fast.

This doesn't wash as a justification for what Israel is doing with Gaza or West Bank.

What is going on there is a crystal clear case of crime. They are stealing land, bulldozing homes, stealing water rights, stealing farms and orchards. It's ethnic cleansing. In Gaza, Israel is preventing even the sale of goods produced, keeping Gaza as an open air jail - an action that is universally accepted as an act of war. Then, Israel complains about the miniscule cases of Gaza fighting that war. Israel thinks KITES are a justification for slaughtering Palestinian civilians.

It's fine to look at history. But, history is NOT a justification for crimes committed today.

Armenians aren't going to get their land back. The Pope isn't going to get to rule Europe again. Native Americans got screwed with their pants on, and they aren't going to get even tiny portions of their land back.

None of these cases is justification for crimes or war today. It's not how our study of history works.

Israel is following the path of the God-sanctioned inhumanity-for-profit that one finds in the OT - and it is no more acceptable today than slavery, wholesale slaughter and other atrocities committed by the Israelites of the OT.

My beliefs on how all this works out is evolving.... .quite rapidly actually. AT this time in my life I can finally see that Rabbi Alon Anava..... for one example.... seems to be a man who has been burned by the type of fire of Zechariah chapter 14 metaphorically..... I have listened to many of his videos.... and his life has been utterly transformed by his near death experience.Rabbi Alon Anava's eyes.... work all together differently than when he was only 27..... before his near death experience. His flesh is transformed.. .. and now he doesn't seem to need much sleep as he reaches out to lead one more to begin to do teshuvah.... and many mitzvah's.........

The idea of powerful teachings like that of Rabbi Alon Anava..... being perhaps like a fire that burn us.......
set us on fire ourselves... .and transform us..... is a whole new way of looking at the subject of "Armageddon" than I had in the past.

No view of Armageddon could possibly justify to a righteous God the averrice and humanitarian crimes that are supported by the USA as carried out by Israel.

We have a duty on earth that does not allow for sitting by and watching such acts being carried out with our approval.

This goes far beyond "just war" theory. We aren't just failing to stop these crimes. We actually support them.

If we are to stand before God on that final day, what is our answer to "Why"?

In a way you are correct.... and the being of light of NDE fame seems to be in at least partial agreement with you......

    https://www.near-death.com/experiences/notable/howard-storm.html#a04
The fact that our opponents on the world stage are perhaps 500% to 5000% worse than America and Canada have been........ does not excuse our lack of love for our enemies....... considering that we claim to be "Christian nations."

so how do you feel about the ethnic cleansing the muslims have been carrying out for 1400 years.
Somehow it doesn't even itself out.

We need to be more careful in how we identify "opponents".

Islam was NOT our opponent in Iraq. Islam is NOT our opponent in Palestine. Islam is not our opponent in Saudi Arabia.

We DO have opponents. But, proposing the differences are religions (thus totally irreconcilable) is a gigantic mistake.

Our differences have much more to do with dictatorships, disregard for the rule of law (which the USA is guilty of, too), desire for economic advantage (by the US and others), the desperation of peoples plagued by crushing poverty and hardship, etc.

What does a young man in Gaza have to aspire to today?

He is promised a crushed economy, no jobs, no building materials, no permission to leave for school (or just survival), food that is handed out, bombing runs by Israel, sniping at farmers over the Israeli-built "fence", etc., with NO relief in sight as Israel refuses even to negotiate.

NO human beings respond well to that kind of humanitarian atrocity. It becomes their sole duty in life to oppose that treatment. And, we know from clear evidence around the world that it has nothing at all to do with religion.

We don't make judgements against people of today due to atrocities carried out over the last 1400 years.

We don't round up Spaniards because of what they did during the several inquisitions or what they did in Central and South America.

We don't round up Americans because of what they did to the native population - or for the slaughter of 2 million civilians of Southeast Asia (along with another quarter million troops).

We don't round up Germans because of what transpired in Germany during the war at the hands of Germans - the Jewish holocaust, the 20 million Russian deaths, let alone the war in Europe.

We don't round up the Japanese because of the spectacular atrocities in China and Southeast Asia that were perpetrated immediately before and during WWII. I lost European relatives who worked as doctors in that area - executed by the Japanese before we ever joined the war.

Yes. These don't "even themselves out". And, they never will. We're not going to carry out an atrocity against Israel to "even out" the atrocity they are wrecking on Palestine today.

In our law there is specific direction that there is no such thing as group accountability like that.

Religion tends to get hijacked by people whose goals are economic and political but they do a good job of quoting the scriptures that fit with their goals.
