This is the latest scandal in the UK, after Boris Johnson backed his Political advisor Dominic Cummings when he clearly broke lock down laws. The Daily Mail summed it up nicely! https://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/index.html
I think below is a thought provoking video. He believes Cummings has made the mistake of thinking Covid was Political and there have been people in this forum who have taken that position as has been firmly done in the US...but in general that does not seem to have been what has happened in the UK. I thought Cummings was further trying this when he told reporters they had got it wrong about his travels just like they had got Brexit wrong - that seems to clearly show that he was hoping just by saying Brexit to get a lot of people on his side..but it has not worked. However later Jukes says he is hoping the press have turned around as of course they are the people who have been promoting Boris while destroying Corbyn. On that I am not convinced. My reading seems to have the centrists supporting the bankers and not wanting a society where the overwhelming majority of the population are left next to destitute - it does not seem to go with their consciences. The Far right however are supported by the Hedge Funders and they are well into a race to the bottom. They do not care how bad they make things for ordinary people even if they recently have been wooing them.....However I think the Press fit more into the Centrist mold and centrists hate the Left far more than they hate the far right. Because of this they went against Corbyn creating all the unending false allegations. Now Corbyn is finished and the left, certainly at the moment, have no possibility of power. Starmer may have a little more drift to the left than Blair, but he is a centrist. He will not support the Palestinians for instance or the people of Venezuela against Imperialist abuse. He will support Imperialism. What is interesting though is that Jukes firmly believes that Covid 19 cuts right through the rise of the Far Right and rather brings people together and that is why Cummings is not convincing people. If it has cut through the media's support of the far right, of Johnson and Cummings, then it will be interesting to see what happens.
How did he break the lockdown rules when there is a clear exemption for people with children who need cared for? I know that you have at least one kid Alexa - what would YOU do? NOT do what's in the best interests of your kid? Yeah right!
