http://www.tmz.com/2016/12/28/debbie-reynolds-dead/ Debbie Reynolds--who rose to stardom in "Singin' in the Rain" and quickly became a staple among Hollywood royalty -- died Wednesday as a result of a stroke, TMZ has learned ... just one day after her daughter Carrie Fisher passed away ... this according to her son Todd. ______________ Wow what a week for that family
WTF another serious entertainment genius gone, this year sucks it really sucks. I loved her in Singing in the Rain.
Just found out that Debbie Reynolds has died. It wouldn't surprise me if the underlying cause of this is a "broken heart"; children are supposed to bury their parents, not the other way around. The stress of all of this most likely, combined with other issues, is responsible for her death. Her first big single record was "Tammy" released in 1955 I believe. She was also a movie star and well known recording artist. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ew3mtNZFrMY May she find eternal rest and happiness.
She was one of my favorites and could do it all
In a way it isn't as bad as you would imagine. My dad's family had 5 deaths over a little over 4 months, including my dad. It got to the point that we were so numbed by it all the additional deaths didn't add to the burden any. My college room mate lost his dad and most of his dad's family in a propane tank explosion. The point being you can't make sense of it. You just have to roll with the punches.
The loss of my old man was rough enough by itself. I'd think that more deaths would be that many more loved ones to miss and mourn all at once. But, I suppose.. You can only feel so bad no matter how bad things actually get, huh?
More or less. We even developed a Gallow's humor about it, "See you again in a few weeks at the next funeral unless it is one of us this time."
