As long as Democrats want to be the new party for wealthy suburban college-educated Republicans, perhaps all Trump has to do is continue to appeal to blue-collar and middle income working people. Someone should, since the "college dropouts" far outnumber the college degreed in this country (almost 2 to 1).

Yes, I was just looking at the Democrat Party website. They "prereleased" a few quotes from selected speakers who will perform their scripts tonight, including a sample of Obama's "hate Trump" smears.

This a four night "roast the president". Trump should feel flattered to be named more times at the DNC convention than Biden's name gets spoken out loud.

I think Trump knew Obama would be crabby tonight and decided to remind everyone of his shortcomings.

Sanders did pretty well for a guy who dropped out April 8th, after realizing he'd gotten a royal screwing for the second election in a row. God bless his old Socialist rear end! Capitalism has allowed him a mighty fine life and made him a millionaire.

 

Convention bounce. Most people expect the ball to bounce up first over the pure excitement of the convention, but oh well. It's 2020. It's more like they dropped the ball from the ceiling instead of bouncing it off the floor. Progress!
