You are on a roll with your fantasies. Powerball is up to about 400 million, you have about the same chance of achieving either. :roflol:

Comey did helpfully out the Fake News liars at the NYT.

“Risch told Comey: “So the American people can understand this, that report by the New York Times was not true. Is that a fair statement?”

"In the main – it was not true,” Comey said. “The challenge -- and I’m not picking on reporters -- about writing stories about classified information is that people talking about it often don’t really know what is going on.”
“He was talking about a February 14 New York Times report titled, “Trump Campaign Aides Had Repeated Contacts With Russian Intelligence.” CNS, Comey Debunks NYT Report About Trump Campaign Having Repeated Contacts With Russians, By Susan Jones | June 8, 2017.

He cannot when it involves him, his office, or his campaign. Thats is obstruction of justice.

yes, he can pardon Flynn, but not until he is convicted.

Refer to my post #99 He could pardon Flynn anytime, even now but it could be political suicide so I wouldn't expect that to be on the table.
    http://www.slate.com/articles/news_.../2008/07/preemptive_presidential_pardons.html

As to what is or isn't obstruction of justice is really questionable. Not even legal scholars can agree. It gets very complicated because there are two different entities involved. One is the ongoing congressional investigations and the other is the special counsel's investigation.

The house or senate can ostensibly bring articles of impeachment with no actual crime having been committed. One article might be obstruction of justice. Then there is Mueller's investigation. He would have to find criminal wrong doing within established constitutional law(s).

I'm going to follow this and try not to guess too much yet.

There will be no impeachment hearings. And in the highly unlikely event I'm wrong about that, the Senate will never convict.

It is my understanding that the president can order the FBI to end any investigation, because they are subordinate to him. If the FBI finds there is reason to believe the President is acting with conflict of interest, as you say, they are supposed to take it to the AG for review.

Trump could have ORDERED the investigation against Flynn immediately ended, and then given Flynn a Presidential Pardon to ensure it would STAY ended.

All that is within the President's Constitutional powers. And, so, since that is the case, why did he not do that? (answer: because he did not intend to direct Comey in the matter, he was only commenting on behalf of his friend.)

Nixon did exactly that…. then the impeachment talk started and Nixon resigned before it happened.

And that's the thing. Trump neither shut down the investigation nor used Executive Privilege to prevent Comey from testifying. This is going to wither away, and the left will just begin a different witchhunt. It's Washington DC and politics as usual.

So far there is only opinion and no crime. Trump upset the DC elitist apple cart by winning a free and fair election and they are trying everything they can to perform a soft coup from only leaking allegedly damaging statements to the FBI director doing the leaks himself.

Think of this, after a year where the NSA and the FBI can listen in on all conversations there is still not one shred of evidence of collusion, which is one of the repeated claim's dujour. Not one official has claimed there is any and in fact have claimed exactly the opposite.

Well, this is bad news for the TDS crowd so now they jump on a butthurt ex-employee's opinion that he came up with after he was fired that 'hoping' for something is somehow illegal.

Ahh, but Trump did attempt to get Comey to stop the investigation into Flynn. Flynn is actually in legal trouble, even if the rest of them just did stupid things, and not something illegal.

You're welcome to keep thinking this is a witch hunt. However, the appointment of a Special Counsel says it isn't a witch hunt. It won't bring a court case, but it certainly is a basis for impeachment. Whether the House will take that up or not depends strictly on politics, not law. Let Trump's numbers keep sliding, and he's gone.

LOL. And you think Sessions would be impartial?

    What a joke.

Sessions has recused himself already, because he felt he could not be impartial, did he not?

Doubtful at best even in the far left's wildest dreams. Trump is going to have to something incredibly stupid and illegal far exceeding any of what we now know. For example: I thought Rubio was going to throw Trump under the bus when he began his opening question. He pinned Comey into a corner and never let him out. Go back and read Rubio's line of questioning. There's no love lost between Trump and Rubio, so the Republicans WILL circle the wagons around him no matter what.

Not when he had input on firing Comey over the Russia probe, doesn't sound "recused" does it?

Trump should sue Comey into oblivion and bankrupt his ass into the poor house. Trump can afford his lawyers, can Comey afford a prolonged civil or criminal court case in release FBI work product information.

Soo.... is it a non-binary gender pronoun?

Am I supposed to call you MSMDS and then MSMDSS for plurality?

I don't get it. I thought you guys were against labelism.
