Reduce to slander and name calling? Clearly you are out of reasonable points. I accept your surrender. Good for DeSantis putting this Rogue Prosecutor on suspension. If he doesn't like, he has recourse in both Court and the Senate.

Perhaps you should try reading the posts more closely. None of these are evidence of what @Alwayssa claimed:

Saying that there is a particular law or even set of laws, or proposal that one won't support is not nearly the same as saying one "won't back any federal or state gun laws". That's the portion of what @Alwayssa posted that was a lie.

Ron DeSantis is right to suspend Tampa’s woke prosecutor
Andrew Warren doesn’t get to be a one-man legislature

"DeSantis suspended Tampa’s woke prosecutor, Andrew Warren, for failing to do his duty and enforce the law. The governor "laid out a clear, detailed, substantive case for why he is suspending Warren from office."

    Compelling

"Rising crime is one of the country’s top issue. Warren is one of many “Justice Democrat” prosecutors under fire for coddling criminals. Voters are fed up. They are tired of lax law enforcement and “soft on crime” prosecutors. They want safety and protection, and they want it done fairly, without excessive force or racial prejudice."

    That's right.

"The public understands that governments have a core duty to protect citizens and their property. Local governments in particular are charged with shielding law-abiding people from criminals, thugs, thieves, and predators. They know that the best way to deter crimes tomorrow is to catch and punish criminals today."

"Governments at every level are failing at this basic responsibility. Voters blame Democrats for that failure, especially prosecutors and mayors who claim their lenient policies advance the cause of social justice. Where’s the justice in smash-and-grab robberies? In subway muggings? In carjackings? In drive-by shootings? Where’s the justice when perpetrators escape and those who are caught are seldom convicted of serious crimes or do serious prison time? All too often, they are charged with lesser offenses, given light bail, and ultimately allowed to “plead down” to minor crimes."

"Legislative bodies, not prosecutors, are responsible for making our laws." Prosecutors are "tasked with enforcing them, not rewriting them to suit their fancy. Unfortunately, in city after city, that is exactly what “social justice” prosecutors have done. They have simply declined to prosecute whole classes of crimes, laid out in laws passed by state assemblies or city councils."

"All across the country, however, Justice Democrats have said they will not prosecute whole classes of crimes as a matter of principle. In doing so, they are acting as one-man legislatures."

"Warren was guilty of exactly this kind of overreach. That’s a serious violation if we are to remain a country of laws, not men, where our government at all levels is grounded in the separation of powers between the executive, legislative, and judicial branches."

Good work Gov, we need you in the WH!

There's a difference between discretionary decisions on individual cases and announcing you won't prosecute certain crimes.

No, it's not. That's part of their discretion.

For example, why didn't federal prosecutors prosecute "Defense of Family Act"?

No, you didn't. You simply brought up the "Defense of Family Act" (which I assume you meant DOMA). Mentioning it is not giving examples of it.

And don't get snippy with me again or our day of conversing will be short.

Law abiding is right wing? Would that make crime and treason a leftist affair?

In fact, prosecutors have to discretion to choose which laws to enforce for reasons that should be obvious.

Yes, they do. I know a lot of DAs. What you're saying is bunk, and you would have no way of knowing that.

Where's @drluggit ? He knows a lot about law, and stuff.

The GOP used to care about the rule of law. Now it's a punchline to them.

Clearly, we are a nation of personalities and greedy leaders, NOT a nation governed by the rule of law.

    Maybe DeSantis can change that.

In fact prosecutors may not choose to nullify a law. They may choose not to prosecute individuals for any number of other reasons -- usually because they do not have enough evidence to convince a jury to convict.

Soros has poured millions to get DA's elected.. One just got recalled in Cali for the same reason that DeSantis is trying to give this one a boot. Crying Anti-semitism at the drop of the hate shows you are just into smear mode.

About" Or do you want me to draw you a picture Zorro,. At least, you have a 10% chance of understanding what I am telling you, or is that too much for you too?"

Shows that you are into attack mode instead of discussing the topic.

Partisans' "care about the rule of law" tends to fluctuate with political expediency.

Funny. One wrong act among men does not a demonization make, but to those in perpetual decay, who make it a punchline.

DeSantis could be gone come November.
Charlie Crist could very well defeat him.
