Just for fun, what will the first confirmed alien life be like? Giant worms? ET? Spock? Octopus? Giant blobs of goo?

Extradimensional. What we've historically been perceiving as angels/demons.

If such encounters ever did occur, then aliens are far more likely than angels or devils of a supernatural nature.

If they're extradimensional, that could just be a distinction without a difference.

Extradimensional beings are supernatural (although so are aliens last time i read the definition).

Unimaginable. If you consider the vast range and diversity of life on this planet, - starfish, ostriches, whales, platypuses, flies, apes - all of which developed on one planet over a relatively short period of time, the range of life that would develop on an entirely different planet is likely to have at least as much difference compared with everything on Earth as anything on Earth has with each other.

I find it likely we would not even recognize a true extraterrestrial life form as alive if we saw it. It may even be something is already here but we do not know it...we have been blinded to many things in our history due to humancentric mindset.
