Detroit City Council President Brenda Jones made it official Wednesday morning that she'll run for Congress again, trying to knock off U.S. Rep. Rashida Tlaib.

Jones' campaign released a 3 1/2-minute video recorded at her home in which she said she was running for "re-election" in Michigan's 13th Congressional District, which covers much of Detroit as well as parts of western Wayne County and Downriver.

    A very interesting development.

    Expected, but still interesting.

Considering that Tlaib won the Dem. Primary (which is tantamount to election) with only 32% of the vote, a 900-vote margin (in a field where several black candidates split the rest of the vote).

Jones should have a decent chance to beat Tlaib (assuming that others don't enter the race).

    But, it won't be easy.
