absolutely.... I find it funny, yet sad, that obvious propaganda techniques used to portray the "innocent teen gunned down by a vigalante ex con" story by posting pics from when a 17 yo kid was in middleschool, (because the current pictures take sympathy away) and yet, but choose a mugshot of Zimmerman when they could have gotten even a more recent D.L. picture or anything better than a mugshot.

And, since you can't be a felon and have a CCW in FL, One can only assume that Zimmerman was never convicted of anything, despite the mugshot.

But, post a story from the Onion, or cracked.com, or whereever..... all of a sudden THAT is wrong.

I write off "food expenses" all the time as I travel for my job quite frequently and eat along the way.

But no, I didn't itemize at 17. And while no receipt is not proof of shoplifting.... surely, investigating the footage at the local quick-e mart is relevant to this case as the "acting suspicious" part may have been someone seeing him shoplift and then walk to the neighborhood he didn't leave.

Thorough investigation is thorough.... even if it turns out he shoplifted and was up to no good.

Unless you believe that stealing candy and a dollar drink warrants being shot dead by someone unrelated to said shoplifting...... what would it matter if he did?

I've never known any 17 year olds that hold on to their receipts for candy and drinks for tax purposes.

All that being said, ill accept that this article is satire.

The OP has to be one of the lamest attempts at a topic for discussion I've run across.

When was the last time you deducted candy from 7-11 on your tax return, on business or not??

You nor anyone else have reason to suspect that the Skittles were stolen. It's amazing the lengths some are going to attempting to clear the killer.

Zimmerman must stand trial and our legal system be allowed to determine innocence or guilt.

Seriously what teenager saves thier receipt? I bet more than half of the adults when asked if "would you like your receipt?" Say no. Where it gets thrown in the trash by the cashier.

What a (*)(*)(*)(*)ing joke by these racist lol.

A quick check of the store camera of the night in question can determine that. But of course since it has nothing to do with a trigger happy moron who murdered a kid it wont be looked at. These racist arguing for the ability to kill a black kid and get away with it is sad.

Is this a serious discussion? How often do you receive a receipt at a convenience store? Try never.

I am all for getting to the truth of the matter. And my gut feeling is that Martin is no angel, and probably at least partially responsible for his own demise. But a receipt for candy and a pop? C'mon......

It would speak to the idea of Trayvon being nervously looking aroundand "looking suspicious".

    This is sooooo sick!

Now those ********s are trying to demonize the dead kid!

How often do you guys pick up your receipt from a 7/11 and stash it carefully in your wallet, or even your pocket?

I know I NEVER DO. In fact, I throw away my receipt even for over $150.00 of groceries out into the trash can while I exit the store!

"Fair and balance?" A bunch of sick crap thrown by those mean spirited people who will say anything to keep their job in this hell hole of media that is Fox News.

This goes far beyond the boundary of simple decency!

And I bet some of you racists A. . H. . .right here will support this dirt that is being thrown at a dead kid. . . in the hope that "something" will stick!

    Disgusting!

noone said shoplifting should be met with death.... nice stretch....

but if a guy is fully mounted on me, hitting me and not stopping despite my cries for help..... next step is a shot in the mass.

Trayvon did not get shot for stealing skittles (I really don't think he did, but even if he did, still doesn't change that I don't think he got shot for it) he got shot because he jumped a man, and that guy was in danger of being killed in the position he was in.... and he made sure he stopped the situation.

    this....

it would had Z pulled the gun on Trayvon and said "stop, or I'll shoot"

but that didn't happen, now did it? Inconvenient as that truth may be for you....

    1) someone with the balls to shoplift, probably isn't gonna be too nervous about the 2 dollars worth of (*)(*)(*)(*) they stole.

    2) looking suspiscious isn't a reason to get killed. If it was, anybody could kill anyone else they wanted to and just say they looked suspiscious.

The amazing thing about this is the idea that Zimmerman watched and followed Trayvon and scared T to death because he didn't know who Z was or why he was following him, and once Z confronted him, Z ended up on the bottom being punched in the nose and screaming "Help, help!" to a witness supposedly standing there watching and who DID NOT help. IMPO, it suggests strongly that Z was a big tough guy as long as he felt he had the advantage and never expected T to turn the tables on him and fight back. Thus Z had to shoot T in "self-defense" in a confrontation he was solely and totally responsible for.

Does SYG or self-defense either one apply if you provoke a violent confrontation and end up killing the person you provoke because they unexpectedly fought back?

The best satire is just subtle enough that people from both sides fall for it. This was pretty close, but I doubt that anyone who read the whole OP would be fooled.

He looks like a normal child in both!! My very white nephew has a put of himself with no shirt on, flipping off the camera as his main picture on Facebook!! All it shows is that teenagers are silly and immature, which is kind of expected since they are officially not yet mature!

I'm going to ignore that this article is satire in the same way that the lynch mob is ignoring the eyewitness to the beating and Zimmerman's black friend. So, Zimmerman was attacked by a shoplifter.
