You have a real deep disconnect between companies and governments shutting down your ability to earn a living to silence your free speech, versus consumers not buying a product in protest of ones content that they may disagree with. There is a chasm of difference between the two examples. If you don't want to join Rumble to protest them because of Russell Brand, I emphatically support your position.

Yes, a person can say whatever he wants to. On the street I will stop and listen, and if I don't like it, I will walk on by. Same on TV or radio, if I don't like it I will just change the channel, no big deal.

The line is crossed when public officials spend my petty tax dollars to advance unhealthy and socially dangerous things like the gender dysphoria and CRT and DEI.

Promoting or advancing can be done in 2 general ways: 1) rhetorically/verbally, mere statement, or 2) the same in an organized and funded way. When funded by tax dollars, a line has been crossed.

 

So yes, just mentioning they exist is advancing and promoting. Do you think there are trans people? Why shouldn’t kids know about them, especially when they’re likely to have one at their school?

It didn't even have to come to this. Bob Chapek surrendered to a small but vocal group and pissed off the wrong guy. Now the Disney is losing money and its stock price has cratered. They found out the hard way that appeasing Starbucks baristas who can't afford to visit the parks and use their parents' Disney+ accounts is not good business.

The CEO of Netflix was having none of it and told woke employees if they didn't like the company then it might not be the best place for them to work.

 

Gender dysphoria, CRT and DEI in public schools, academia, and corporate boards who "advocate" (likely another word you will question) basic "identity politics". Race, sex, sexuality, sexual "identity". Basic post modernist, critical theory, socialism by evolution not revolution by pitting the oppressed against the oppressors. At its foundation, not an examination of our society in an attempt to understand it, but instead an attempt to change our society to what they would prefer. Previously limited to the realm of academia, since the Obama administration it has become a fundamental part of the Democratic party.

Pissing off Ron was the wrong guy in regards to their previous advantages, taxes and other, given over the Florida real property they own and govern. But Ron did nothing to bring about their massive drop in stock value. Disney did that.

 

I think in the case of Disney targeting its traditional underage viewers is another line crossed. Probably could of gotten away with their gender dysphoria, CRT and DEI campaign if it had been limited to their media targeting the adult audience. Kids programing was detrimental.

 

That was a correction after Disney's stock price skyrocketed during the pandemic recovery. Disney was above its pre-pandemic price when it went after DeSantis. Now it's at half of that value.

Looks to me like a few years after End Game, they went full woke...and went broke as a result. They had a drop off that was negated by the lock downs and the need for online streaming, and then even that put a sour taste in consumer's mouths as they realized that all of Disney's shows suck.

 

Disney lost. DeSantis put them directly in their place. Way to go Ron!

Both Democrats and Republicans are guilty of this and both go through extreme lengths to enforce their agenda's. Both sides are despicable.

 

You have to understand. Progressives operate on a totem pole of priorities largely driven by an emotional agenda.

Big evil corporations that push their woke agenda get a pass. We are starting to see the priority of their inconsistent agenda.
