    Jews and Muslims have historically been closer allies than Jews and Christians.

    You'll rarely find Jews running around defending Christianity. But you see them all the time defend Islam.

    The idea that we are a judeo-christian nation and our founding is somehow tied into Judaism is total horse crap and Zionist propaganda.

    that is true, the reason Mary had to marry the older man used by a Moore defender was so she woudl not get stoned, but luckily most people no longer take these things literally other then extreme fanatics of the religions, like ISIS, ect...

    Women have held high status in many civilizations throughout history, from Pharoah of Egypt to primary leader of the early Christian church. And many societies respected women.

    The difference is the concept of "equality" varies based on the basic facts of life.

    In 2,000 BC, the world was run by manual labor, and survival was literally tied to a community's (and a family's) ability to do physical work. Men are clearly better suited to manual labor. It would be foolish (and life threatening) to put men at home watching babies so women could watch livestock (which required fighting off wild animals and human thieves), build houses and walls, and defend the city.

    The simple facts of life made todays concept of "equality" impossible in 2,000 BC (and in most other times in human history).

    My point: todays concept of "equality" is the result of technological development. Technology reduces (in some areas of life) the significance in the differences between male and female, allowing our modern concept of equality.
