I disagree with the headline of the Article used as the Thread Topic as per the Rules here.

He did not distance himself when and where it matter. He incited it, condoned it and stood there just lapping it up.

Only after due backlash, did he feign disagreement.

Team Redhat has lost all touch with reality. All we can do is keep shoving the facts under their noses until the cognitive dissonance becomes too much to bear.

 

Mrs. Omar has made repeated statements regarding the many flaws of the US. The statements reflect her opinion that the country is deeply racist, hateful, and prejudice. These statements are deeply painful to most Americans, especially Americans whose beliefs are conservative and Christian. Is it actually surprisingly that this pain would manifest itself at some time or other?

 

It also shows just how stupid Trump thinks people are that he would lie like this, and it easily calls into question his past excuses, such as when he claimed that his pro-Putin comment at Helsinki was a mistake and he allegedly meant to say "don't see why it wouldn't be." He lies constantly, yet his trolls try to claim that he never lies, evidently just to be trolls. Even they must realize at this point just how blatantly and constantly dishonest the guy is.

 

I admire your optimism. Can't say I share it.

 

They should send Omar back anyways.

Trump tries things and if they do not appear to be accepted denies them. I saw the video and he waited 13 seconds and until they had stopped chanting 'send her home' before he continued. At one time I am sure he held back a smile. However his base likes this. He has opened the door and I am reading that very few Republicans have complained. People are suggesting the next election will be fought on this with those not agreeing being communists, traitors or whatever. Difficult days for the US.

Didn’t Trump spend his election campaign doing essentially the same thing, just attributing the flaws of the US to different things? His “Make America Great Again” slogan literally states that America isn’t currently great. I think there is plenty wrong with what these Congresswomen apparently want and how they make their arguments but I don’t think Trump has any kind of moral high ground on that.

 

I’m surprised he said anything. Usually he just doubles down and shrugs about it.

No, Lefties are far ahead of the game in that regard.
Trump doesn't have an organized group of black clad cowards doing his bidding and unlike some members of congress, he does not tell his supporters to go out and harass people.

I'm sure he liked it. I also have a problem with people electing anti-Americans to our Congress. It makes it more difficult to govern. I think it is fine for you or me to criticize the US federal government. It deserves it and we have no control over it. But members of congress should stop criticizing and do something about whatever it is they don't like.
