Absolutely. The left started this, and now they want to cry foul when the rest of us stand up for ourselves. Maybe they should think twice before dishing out what they can't take. Which is not to say I like the current level of political discourse in this country, but the left let that genie out of the bottle, that wasn't the right's doing. Of all of the things for folks to get their panties in a wad over, this was actually a timely and apropos cartoon, considering the current political climate regarding Iran and the Democrats' bizarre support of Iran and an Iranian terrorist over America and our President. The main reason they haven't started to riot is because life is good for them. Their people have most of the political power and they can just trigger their political enemies on line for their pleasure.

Nah, I'm not playing your political game. One need only look at the many threads on this board to see examples of what I would personally consider blatant attacks on large swaths of liberals and other people. And then they would shrug it off with an excuse.

As for the economy, the president doesn't play a huge role in this. If they did, you would have to give Obama just as much credit as you give Trump.

The political drawing is a fair comment given the positive descriptions of Soleimani by so many prominent DP politicians and pundits.
Of course the thinking left rejects radical Islam, but powerful elements within what often still passes for the "progressive" movement are now publicly expressing their solidarity with the murderous terrorist Soleimani and the totalitarian regime he served. That is very offensive to almost all ordinary Americans.

Please. No matter whom wins the White House, my life goes on like normal. Neither Trump, nor Obama, Nor Clinton or Bush. None of them have had any real, direct impact on my life.

But I come on this message board, and I see a very much larger amount of conservatives and trump supporters, attacking anyone who dares to voice any dissenting opinion, and it makes me sick and angry. And humans are emotional creatures.

Not sure why I keep coming back. Am I a masochistic? Do I still have a small sliver of hope for meaningful discourse? Am I gleefully waiting for the bullies to get their commupence?

I am not sure what we can do about this. Many conservatives go with the argument that as long as they are not as evil as their enemies that everything is fine. This line of thinking is absurd. Evil is evil. Just because one is more doesn't excuse the other.

I apologize to you if I have incited any harmful feelings. I just got angry. But taking that anger out of a person or group does have an affect on that group I need to account for.

Maybe I should try to find another political forum to peruse. But I have had a hard time finding one as big that is also not biased one way or another.
