Why limit how many I can buy at a time? Instead of the "slippery slope" how about the 'boiling frog"?

Why do you want or need more than one gun?

It's not arbitrary. Revolvers aren't called six shooters for nothing.

Being able to purchase 24 guns in a year = coming after your guns, does it???
Can you walk me through that logic?

I know more than the average person does. Army Airborne 1952 - 1955. Detroit Police Department 1957 - 1964. And armed ever since.

Think about it. If they were after your guns they would be knocking down your door and 'TAKING' what guns you have. Are they doing that? No. If you can't feel reasonably capable of protecting yourself and your family by adding 24 new weapons a year you are beyond paranoid.

I don't actually need any guns (unless you want to insert the old tyranny thing here). I enjoy shooting that is why I want guns. The shooting sports require different guns for different areas. If I was to do the Cowboy shoots I would want a lever action and a revolver. A person participating in 3-Gun Shooting would want an AR, pistol and shotgun. I love to target shoot in my backyard using a .22 rifle. I deer hunt from a tree stand with a .357 and still-hunt with my '06. For birds I use either my 12 gauge pump or my 20 gauge double. It's like golf. No one would play golf with only one club. No one participates in the shooting sports with only one gun.

And when you are limited to only one gun purchase a year what will that mean?

For me not much at all, but for others that would suck. That being said IF my aunt had balls she’d be my uncle. We can what if all sorts of outrageous situations but that’s all they’d be. It’s a long way from 24 to one.

A long way maybe, but when my dad was a young man he could own a machine gun. When I was a kid my dad could order a rifle (20 or 30 if he wanted) through the mail. Now you can't. Soon every gun sale in the country will have to go through a licensed dealer. Before long laws like this one pending in Oregon will be the law of the land; 2 guns and 20 rounds of ammo a month. Then it will be one gun a year and only ones that have a capacity of fewer than 10 rounds. Then...

Maybe...maybe not. None of us has a crystal ball so no one can say what will or won’t happen. I just think there will be too many of us who won’t comply for things to get as bad as some think. Do I know for sure? Of course not, but neither does anyone else.

Well for one, a pound of gunpowder will load around 1200 handgun rounds. Virtually all types of powder is on shelves everywhere. 8# about $180 or less. Plated bullets are cheap and plentiful. Brass is everywhere and mostly free. Lead bullets can be cast at home from wheel weights. Primers are in plentiful supply at $30/M in quanity so as a resident of a potentially restrictive state, one may want to have a stash of small & large pistol primers as well as a hefty supply of rimfire ammo. Military 5.56 is currently cheap and plentiful with billions of rounds in stock in the marketplace. I shoot an easy 10,000 rounds per year instructing and I have never seen so much low cost ammo available. 9mm is so cheap it's nearly a tossup to handload or buy it outright.
Make your decision based on the years the worlds best gun salesman was in office and everything was tight. We have obama to thank for the plentiful supply of everything as manufacturing increased under his administration multiple times.

Legislators focus on legal gun owners. It has nothing to do with guns and everything to do with control.
This year Bloomberg is focusing on the states which is good because if anything gets to the SC, it should be overturned. The Second Amendment Foundation currently has 34 cases prepared for the courts. Alan Gottlieb is a very smart lawyer and saved gun owners asses dozens of times. Send them some money.
Remember, don't feed the trolls, they are very uninformed and rabid on topics that scare them.
