    This is a myth.

People who believe this don't know what is happening in other Western countries (France, Canada, Norway, Germany, UK etc.).

The U.S. is 60 years behind in the social protections that the state offers to its citizens, especially universal health care.

The US is the only G20 country where a citizen can go bankrupt while getting health care.

This is a shame for a developed country.

A myth? Oh please. The rest of the world doesn't matter. But, in the US, the current Democratic party is far, far left of what they had been just a few short decades ago.

Conservatism, by definition, wants the status quo on absolutely everything.

The new generation, more worldly, more educated, more tolerant, more interested in social justice, sees what is happening elsewhere in the world.

Less crime, less social inequality, a greater role for the state in the economic and social protection of its citizens.

The MAGA are inward looking, completely mired in a cult of personality that is unhealthy for the nation.

And the majority of the electorate reject that.

I saw this coming with the strong emergence of the Tea Party and the GOP changing at the time. I did not think it would go over the cliff, like it has now, though; lesson learned and will never be forgotten.

Methinks you forget that Republicans just swept through blue states in recent elections, polls show the red team making historical flip flops in recent polls for the upcoming midterms, and even Democrats themselves seeing the handwriting on the wall and jumping off the Titanic instead of trying to get re-elected.

Are you talking about Trump's election in 2016?

He won PA, MI and WI with a majority less than 110,000 votes for all three.

I have said it many times and I will say it again, there is no demographic parameter that favours the Conservatives.

    None

    Age, internal migration, education, immigration.

Conservatives have more children than Liberals, but at least 55% of their children become Democrats once they get beyond high school.

That's why education is the Republican's kryptonite.

The statisticians thought Georgia would become a tossup state by 2028, it did 8 years earlier.

Texas will be one by 2026...

You should look at a political party county map of the US - all red.
