Drew Brees has announced his retirement from Pro Football in the National Football League. after a 20-year career I believe. He led the New Orleans Saints to their first ever Super Bowl and won beating the Indianapolis Colts 31-17 Brees was the MVP in the game. He also had a spectacular career with the San Diego Chargers (Now L.A. Chargers), and New Orleans Saints. NFL records Most career passing yards Most career pass completions Highest single-season completion percentage (74.4%) Most consecutive games with a touchdown pass Most pass completions in a season Most 5,000 passing yard seasons Highest completion percentage in a game (96.7%) Most touchdown passes in a game (tied) Fastest player to reach 50,000 career passing yards (183 games) Fastest player to reach 60,000 career passing yards (215 games) Fastest player to reach 70,000 career passing yards (248 games) First player to reach 80,000 career passing yards (286 games) It won't surprise me if the Saints retire his uniform number "9" in the future.
Been a Saints fan since there has been a Saints football team including years living in Louisiana. Brees took it to another level, nothing like it since the Bobby ****rt days. BTW Bobby's restaurant on Veteran's in Meterie is a great place to eat! Wonder if Drew will do something similar.
