for every crummy customer there are twenty good ones. Plus I give anybody that wants it free advice. Once in a while I get somebody that needs a 3k repair and I can't help that. When they chew me out and tell me I'm a crook I tell them take it to the dealership and then tell me who the crook is.
Well all we really need to do is look out for each other.
I think this sort of thing happens everywhere.

I have, and there is no connection. Intelligence is not enhanced by knowledge. That so many people kept smoking after we learned about the health risks, is evidence of that.

Tell us why education directly correlates with earning power. On average, those with more advanced degree(s) earn two to three times then those with HS or less. That’s huge.

I guess you didn’t read my post....just a few lines. Advanced education stresses the intellect like more advanced physical activity stresses the body. There is significant change in capability in the areas that are stressed . Intellect development is specific. You can’t becaonesbecomes a great mathematician by studying English literature. If ine takes economics, it doesn’t even prepare you for advanced math.

Sure you have. What was your major ? That is most telling. Intellect development is specific. If you get an education in advanced math, it opens the door for employment in everything from business to the sciences and even law enforcement . You may not think it enhances intellect, but the crossover helps you earn a fking lot more money. Don’t conservatives equate intelligence with earning power ? Let’s be consistent.

Huh ? There are a plethora of majors. Pick one. We’ll comment in it. This can be a first experience in advanced education. Lol.

You’re equating advanced college education with just acquiring knowledge. That can’t be farther from the truth. The more educated you are, the more aware you become of your limitations. You become more aware of what you don’t know. Secondly, smoking is addictive, that crosses intellectual differences . An advanced education could help one understand these basic concepts, so I’ve been told by others, much smarter then me.

Are you suggesting the quarterback should be the college educated one?

No. I couldn’t care less about how much “education” one has. My point is societies like ours require many various goods and services. The providers of those things have been intentionally divided by politicians and media. It has weakened our country.

On the diesel mechanic side of the equation I’ve moved to supporting self employed mechanics. I’d much rather cut out the big middle man/men with dealerships etc.

The pickup mechanic I referenced before is a family business.

Yep. For each other, because we want to. Not be forced to by a third party who’s just doing so for a cut of the gross.

That’s good to know. I seldom hear anything but complaints so wasn’t aware of that.

Guess what, that’s how businesses hire. All other things being equal, the “guy” with the degree, gets the job. Often, it’s a prerequisite to even get in the door for good paying jobs.

Independents cant be quantified like conservatives want to do. Some lean right, many lean left. Some of we registered independent because the Democratic Party is way too conservative for us and they compromise way too much with republicans who more often then not, totally wrong.

    One guy makes $500k
    Nine make $35k.
    Average $81.5k
    Averages are fun no?

Tell me, why are they all screaming for student loan relief?

Hence the cries for student loan relief.
    Such a good ROI.

Averaging income for all "college grads" is foolish.
An educated, intelligent individual would dicuss income related to individual majors.
And an educated, intelligent individual understands that the average of nine guys making 35k and one making 500k is 81.5k, making the "average" a very poor metric to reference in this instance.
