Are we really going to quibble over this?.... Hispanic is usually what we refer to and trump was being his usual racist self. See racism isnt just something that jumps out immediately most of the time which is also why “my black friend” isnt a defense.

What is 'hispanic'? I know someone with light brown hair, pale skin, and green eyes who is from Mexico. He looks German or similar, but his name is Spanish. Is he 'hispanic'?

Hispanic as an umbrella term means from Spain latin America (mostly because of Spanish conquest of the region long ago.)

    1. relating to Spain or to Spanish-speaking countries, especially those of Latin America.

Progressives view a President, any President, as their leader and they believe they are dependent on that leader for their survival. The nuance between animals and humans being Trump broke the progressive hearts by defeating Clinton in 2016. An animal would quickly recover and care for themselves if able.

Very unusual thing for a right leaning crank to say.

Any President? Maybe safe to say if progressives view Trump as anything...it surely isn't a leader.
So what do non-progressives view their leader as....

Reasonable people view a President as a temporary figure head with the powers of directing foreign policy, but with very limited control of domestic policy.

Quite the testament to today's politics when @crank is considered "right leaning".

Let’s get real. Trump university was shut down and fines and reimbursement had to be paid, it was a scam.

You can get fined for all kinds of things. My first company was once fined because fire extinguishers were mounted too high in a warehouse- which we did to prevent them being bumped by the forklift. I don't think we would have been fined, if I hadn't pointed out to the inspector that he was unable to use common sense. I didn't say Trump was a good deal; or even well done. The allegations were aggressive sales tactics and misleading marketing practices. The settlements were from civil lawsuits, not criminal ones. There were some fines, which were imposed because some state regulations regarding educational institutions. It was using the word University, but was not legally qualified as a university. So while there were problems, hardly the conditions you would like to portray. Complaints- yes, and anytime you are teaching something like this- where many will not be able to actually utilize it and succeed- you are going to get blamed for their failure. You can buy access to information, to training, to education. You cannot buy access to the ability to succeed. That's why some people with very expensive educations accomplish nothing- such as the PhD that was my warehouse janitor many years ago. Knew a lot. Couldn't use any of it.

Those items- aggressive sales, misleading marketing- are both arbitrary judgments, but I find no criminal charges- the litigation was in the form of civil lawsuits. If you looked at the timeshare industry, you would see those same practices being used far more extensively and abusively, yet you don't hear anything about it being prosecuted. Of course, fame attracts publicity, and a lot of people hate those who accomplish a lot. It's like they think the only reason they are poor is that someone else is not.

You of course always choose to see what supports your personal opinion, and nothing else.

This is all history- and irrelevant now, except as rant fodder for the left.

The point you underline is based on clear statements of other members desiring unilateral projection of power from a president they hated. I wasn’t “seeming” to say anything more than what I said. But, since you wish to expand into the present and the theoretical....

I would have to say yes, a great many Progressives are quite pleased to have Trump.

Viewership of the first Trump/Clinton debate set an all time record. Second place now belongs to a Reagan/Carter debate. Saturday Night Live is enjoying more viewers than they’ve had in 20 years. Colbert, Samantha Bee, and Trevor Noah are setting records and raking in cash. Rachel Maddow is profiting as well.

Then there are the countless authors who have made millions writing books on Trump and his presidency.

Finally, consider the career enhancement the Trump presidency is providing for people like Adam Schiff, Jerrold Nadler, Nancy Pelosi, Rashida Tlaib, and Jason Crow.

All the above who are profiting so much from the Trump presidency are loathe to give it all up. They know without Trump they wouldn’t be riding the wave of fame and fortune they are today. I’m starting to have serious doubts as to whether these people really want rid of Trump. The quality (actually lack thereof) of the cadre of potential Democratic challengers supports this theory. I think those with power and those making millions off criticizing this president have decided to ride the gravy train at your expense for another term.

This brings us to the poor schmucks who haven’t figured out how to monetize their dislike for Trump. They spend their money on the books, advertisers in media, and donations to politicians who keep their emotions flowing. Even these poor souls are benefiting from Trump. Progressivism has always been defined by it’s need to tear down and destroy. Trump makes a very attractive target for people who haven’t the ambition to better themselves and instead prefer to “advance” by dragging others down. Furthermore, when dragging others down fails to bring happiness, such people need someone to blame, and Trump supplies that as well.

The real “tell” that many progressives prefer Trump to no ruler at all is the fact vitriol is aimed at the man, not expanding government and how that expansion has the potential to negatively affect their lives under future administrations. Many in fact cheer that expansion and look forward to increased authoritarianism by “their guy or gal”.

Now I’m sure not all progressives prefer Trump to no ruler. Some say they would rather see earth virtually destroyed than have Trump re-elected. But others are addressing that head scratcher in another thread.

Your very statement proves you've never been through one.

Do you have any idea the time and labor involved in any audit? The documentation over the span of years? There is no 'presumption of innocence' in an labor or sales audit.
