Anyone who actually tries to tackle the debt will cause this. I’m glad someone is actually talking about it.

The problem is that Trump already crashed the economy ones and it only made the debt problem worse.

He doesn’t have COVID to deal with this time. He will do better. His record before COVID was not bad.

We're talking about debt and deficits, and had already doubled deficits in 3 yrs before Covid.

Compared to the woman who couldn’t even run a her own campaign without going into debt I would say we made the right choice.

Ok. Well then you'll have to sit back and watch the debt skyrocket, and stop complaining about it.

Tell me, how does someone raise more than a billion dollars for campaigning and still finds themselves 20 million in debt?

I doubt they'll be able to balance the budget. Even if they win the House, it will be with razor-thin margins, and there are always people who refuse to give up federal dollars for their district.

Unfortunately, I think you’re right specially, when we have millions of citizens that aren’t willing to take the pain that it’s going to take to cut the deficit

    Wrong.

Nasa got literally 0.27% of what SpaceX got. And do you know what the federal government got for that money ?

you don't remember your question? The answer is simple, the Biden administration.

    Your question
Wrong…..They could have paid NASA, but congress has cut their budgeted ever year. The Year congress gave Elon $185 BILLION, they gave NASA $500 MILLION. Gee, I wonder who did that…

So, you are looking forward to hardships?
How much hardship are you willing to endure?

His last go around saw him spend more that any president in history for a 4 yr term.
Odd to think he's going to do different this go around. But he does fool a lot of people.

Why not just donate more of your money to the gov't? If all of MAGA gave up 50 % of their income for 1 year, we could end the deficit spending.
If you want hardship, step up to the plate.

I don't think you understand how this works. Nasa hasn't built a rocket since 1972, of course congress isn't going to fund them to build rockets because they literally only buy rockets.

At the end of fiscal year 2020, the debt was $26.9 trillion. Trump added $6.7 trillion to the debt between fiscal year 2017 and fiscal year 2020, a 33.1% increase, largely due to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic and 2020 recession.

lol nope Biden without 8t dollar covid relief will take that honor. You see everyone you understand the one-time Covid spending to keep people employed was a good thing, not something the left tries to spend as a negative. Now what's Biden's excuse? https://fiscaldata.treasury.gov/ame...#spending-trends-over-time-and-the-us-economy

No one is stopping you from giving more to the fed gov't to cut the deficit.

One thing that is absolutely true, spending will not go down.

Some good some bad under trump. He did spend the most of any 4 yr term president.

    ...xxx

    Summary

The statistics for the entirety of Donald Trump’s time in office are nearly all compiled. As we did for his predecessor four years ago, we present a final look at the numbers.

    • The economy lost 2.7 million jobs. The unemployment rate increased by 1.7 percentage points to 6.4%.
    • Paychecks grew faster than inflation. Average weekly earnings for all workers were up 8.4% after inflation.
    • After-tax corporate profits went up, and the stock market set new records. The S&P 500 index rose 67.8%.
    • The international trade deficit Trump promised to reduce went up. The U.S. trade deficit in goods and services in 2020 was the highest since 2008 and increased 36.3% from 2016.
    • The number of people lacking health insurance rose by 3 million.
    • The federal debt held by the public went up, from $14.4 trillion to $21.6 trillion.
    • Home prices rose 27.5%, and the homeownership rate increased 2.1 percentage points to 65.8%.
    • Illegal immigration increased. Apprehensions at the Southwest border rose 14.7% last year compared with 2016.
    • Coal production declined 26.5%, and coal-mining jobs dropped by 25%. Carbon emissions from energy consumption dropped 11.3%.
    • Handgun production rose 12.5% last year compared with 2016, setting a new record.
    • The murder rate last year rose to the highest level since 1997.
    • Trump filled one-third of the Supreme Court, nearly 30% of the appellate court seats and a quarter of District Court seats.

People were unemployed during covid. trump gave them money to stay home. Remember?

Your chart shows spending slower than GDP growth.
Meaning, spending went DOWN when compared to GDP.

GDP is the measure of the size of the economy.
