well… This is what you get when you elect a leader with the cognitive ability of an infant. I mean the guy put Kamala in as VP, what further proof do you need he’s an utter moron. We will feel the impact of this move for decades to come. I’m sure there will be the “but Trump this and But Trump that” that we always hear. The fact is Biden had the info on the ground and still backed out on his own accord that he actually extended the date. It shouldn’t have happened under any president but he screwed it up royally in typical Brandon fashion.

This just more 'no ****, sherlock.' Anyone could've predicted the Taliban response to such a shitshow of a withdraw.

Still, it must be noted the only way it could've been worse is if we had stayed.

...which I personally think is exactly what the Biden admin was planning to do until the very last minute when they finally realized it would be political suicide and so went with a hasty and shoddy 'plan B.'

Good. Get used to it. Sourcing known liars doesn’t help you get your point across.
    And won’t for many years.

Hate to tell you but this thread isn’t about fox, it’s about Biden’s withdrawal that was obviously a huge blunder F***. But I’m glad you try to hide it like a typical lap dog

When you source some actual facts, we can talk about the topic. If you post slop there’s nothing to talk about.

And here I thought that the Trump Administration allowed the Afghan government to fail by negotiating with the Taliban and excluding the Afghan government from the negotiations, and then drawing down the American forces before Biden became President. Iguess it magically happened the day Biden walked into the WH.

Still glad we left Afghanistan. Should have done it many years before. Glad somebody finally did it. Leaving years earlier, or year later, same result (collapse of puppet government) but the later we leave the more time, money, and lives we waste.

Trump indeed did this. Trump made a deal with the terrorist in Februari 2020 to pull out of Afghanistan by May 2021. In them roughly 10 remaining months that Trump was in power, he did not arrange any plan about how to actually pull out by May 2021. So Biden was forced to pick that up in Januari 2021 when he became the president to fiddle something in just 4 months. And all he could do was postponing for the sake to have some kind of better plan. And the best plan the US army was able to make unfolded in August 2021 when "suddenly" the US army left and "everybody" was "surprised".... while everybody knew in Februari 2020 that the US would be gone in May 2021. Biden gave those people 3 more months do make their own plans. And they did nothing.

And all in all, when the dust settled, the Taliban was unable to prevent ISIS killing something like a dozen US soldiers.
That loss is actually totally acceptable number wise when retreating with over 10.000 of soldiers out of the middle of a nasty hostile situation at the other side of the globe.

You're free to go explain to me, when you demand to have a small government, that government needs to arrange an emigration back, when the person had 1 year and 3 months to do it themselves and on top of that got yet an other 3 months. Be shocked: I am rather used to pack my own bags when I move.

And it's not as if there was no travel possible when the Taliban took over. The airport was probably back up and running with business as usual within a week. Well business as usual, if it was up to the Taliban. Undoubtingly a lot of western commercial companies stopped flying towards the country with direct flights. But not Iran or Qatar.

Yep. Things don't happen magically overnight when a new President takes office; Trump cut the Afghan government out of the negotiations, thereby letting the Taliban know the government wouldn't have our help. They bribed and threatened local officials during this process to grease the skids for a takeover once we left. AND TRUMP DID NOTHING TO STOP THIS! Instead, he drew down American troop levels. Trump also engaged in no withdrawal planning, leaving the big mess for Biden. Trump is a ****up.

Wait. You're saying Biden, who used his pen and phone on day 1 to undo everything Trump did, had no power or inclination to undo or at least fix the Afghanistan deal before all those people died? You can't seriously believe that.

    Is this news?

Of course we "allowed" Afghanistan to collapse.

We wanted our people out. It was ALWAYS going to collapse when we left.

First of all it seems you agree that Trump signed the deal with the terrorist to GTFU out Afghanistan, but made zero plans in the 10 months he still was in power, leaving Biden to come up with something in 3 months.

    And about your reply:
How do you think a massive army of terrorist would react if a person leading some satanic nation unilaterally would say that the deal is off because he got a pen and a phone? It's not as if Biden took 3 extra months. He was given 3 extra months of being an oppressive foreign violent unwelcome entity where they got every right in the world to shoot even the planes down as they left the airports for all the "collateral damage" they inflicted on a helpless people while cowering away in Florida where they do the drone operating.

On a scale of 1 to 10, this is about a 1 or 2 in level of surprising.

For any who had already bothered to read anything into the details about this.

It can be said that the Biden Administration will have left a bigger legacy when it comes to women's rights than Hillary Clinton or Obama ever did.

Imagine if the American public back in the days of President George Bush could have known what was going to end up happening in Afghanistan.
For those who may not remember, back in 2002 to 2005 there was endless media coverage of all the horrible things women had to put up with under the Taliban and how they were being freed and liberated.

there was no reason for Trump to push to release these people, he should have let Afghanistan decide that on their own

and definitely not release them before we got our people out

"Top Taliban leaders are among the 5000 that Trump released last year over everyone's objections"

The Left and Left-supporting media 100% supported those actions of his at the time, more than Republicans did.

He was doing this to try to give the media (which hated him) one less thing to be able to criticize him about.

That can be said for a lot of other things you want to tell us Trump did, FreshAir.

    not hardly

Trump even tried to invite the Taliban to the USA for talks on 9-11, then had to back off due to public outcry

Fox News....yeah they're funny lot....regurgitating the crap written by other crap journalists who themselves were merely quoting or citing crap from unnamed sources and with nobody checking the crap they're writing....they're actually masters of and massive subscribers to the woozle effect....

oh yeah in case you didn't know....the "woozle effect" is based on Winnie the Pooh and piglet chasing after a mythical creature called the woozle that does not in fact exist.....like most of the twatishness farted out the mouths of the Fox News sales team which they sell as "news"

    say hello to the woozle....
