Epiphany - Corpus Christi Day - Assumption - All Saints' Day - what is a public holiday in the region where you live?

 

With the exception of Assumption I could click onto all those days.

 

I see 16 views.
And I wonder why NOBODY except me clicked onto ANYTHING - and not onto "none of them" either.
It is such hard work to click onto some option, once you have clicked onto the topic?

Don't tell me that all these holidays are unkwon in the US.

 

My Greek Orthodox Wife is familiar with those dates. I've never heard of them, and none of them are holidays in America.

 

OK - maybe they are not public holidays.
But they are church holidays.

As you may know, Germany is a federal country - like the US.
Only that we only have 16 states instead of 50.

These states are semi-indipendent and have their own holiday rules and regulation.
And is it happens, Berlin has none of these holidays, whereas Bavaria has all of them.

 

As it seems, no Europeans have found their way into this topic. Yet.
For: In many European countries some of these days are public holidays, and in some countries all of these days are public holidays.

 

These are all Church Holy days, but not every denomination is going to celebrate them here.
