I guess you can create a conspiracy anywhere if you are so inclined...

    The left most certainly can.

I however, am seeing the reality for what it is. I cannot help if you refuse to do the same.

Spend 10 minutes on youtube watching violent crime videos. Witness the voracity of our criminal cancer and then recognize that these feral savages are enabled, supported, excused, and defended by leftists to such insane degrees that they literally not only justified in attacking and stealing but they feel its their moral right as revenge for things like 'Whiteness' and 'social justice'. You don't want to own a gun, fine. You want to keep me from owning one or keep it from being readily available, buddy, you better be ready to make me.

Do you have a fire extinguisher in your kitchen? Same thing, it's not perpetual fear, it's called being prepared. If the day ever comes that you find yourself lying in your own urine because you just heard some stranger kicking in your front door in the middle of the night, I bet you'll be regretting your decision to intentionally not be so.

Ummm….a fire extinguisher isn’t a deadly weapon (unless you were one of the MAGA morons that attacked on Jan 6)…….oh boy…

Regardless of the story, it appears there is no law requiring the gun to be locked.

I would call it common sense but we don't make laws about that.[/QUOTE]

If you were on the jury, would you vote "Guilty" or "Not Guilty"?

What would you do call them guilty with whatever the da decides to throw at them ?

No matter how hard you try, you aren't convincing anyone that the parents should skate.

No. A nation built on the knowledge that you have to fight to keep whats yours just as much as you had to earn it in the first place. Why don't you tell us where you're from so we can analyze that country.

They bought the kid a gun and 4 days later 4 kids are dead. How do you think the parents of the 4 dead kids feel knowing the parents were shown a drawing of the gun they bought him, killing people, and they never even asked if he had it with him. I feel a bit more sorry for the parents of the dead kids than I do the parents that took off and ran.

And you keep reinforcing my point.

Heck, even a blind man can verify if the defense claim is credible. Is there a drawer with a lock on it in their bedroom? Was the drawer forced open?

Do you have a drawer with a lock on it in your bedroom? If so, do you leave the key laying around in plain sight?

The parents actions are directly responsible for the murders and injuries. Therefore, I would find them guilty on all charges.

The elements of the crime to get a conviction on Invol. Manslaughter are definitely present.

How the Prosecution Proves Involuntary Manslaughter Charges in Michigan
When faced with involuntary manslaughter charges, the prosecution must prove all of the following conditions without a shadow of doubt:
    1. The victim died because of your action(s).
    2. The action(s) you took were egregiously negligent
    3. You did not have lawful justification for taking the victim’s life

Is leaving a key unattended the same as leaving a gun unlocked? If the gun was locked where was the key kept? The parents need to be kept separated from their son so they can't get their stories '"straight" on the locked gun question. If it was never locked it will show the parents are lying so what else are they lying about?

I don't disagree with your view but the school officials knew the kid was disturbed and yet they didn't call the police or child services when the family refused to take their son home. They helped put the disturbed child back amongst the students and faculty. We all know this isn't the first school shooting and we've (not) learned a thing from prior school shootings. What we will hear the school say is we will work to prevent this from happening again. But we all know it will happen again so long as everyone involved ignores the warning signs. It should be stressed that it is better to be safe than sorry. And I really don't care if the parents or their child are inconvenienced. Gun laws may not changed but we the people can make people change their ways when it comes to guns and their careless handling of them.

From my perspective, Parents who are not averse to the second amendment and who love their Son, might buy him his own gun to be used under supervision until reaching the age of full ownership. Seeing that a SIG is not a starter gun, it stands to reason that they probably had other guns with which they were all familiar, possibly going to the gun range periodically as a family. Maybe there were always guns in the home. Kids are good at hiding their issues from their Parents. And Parents want to think the best of their children and blink away the little warning tells for the cause of hope. You make it sound like the Parents are demented, and they intentionally gave their unstable Son the means to do violence to others. Pretty much everyone becomes accountable in adolescence, around age eight. They become fully aware of accountability and the consequence of choice. The older they get, the more autonomous they become. Ethan is a nearly fully cognizant fifteen year old young adult. To blame his parents is to blame their parents and their parents parents into infinity. Is God responsible for Lucifers rebellion, Adam and Eve's disobedience, Cains murder of his Brother, or everyones misdeeds since the beginning of time. Of course not. He's just a convenient scapegoat. The Parents violated no law.

The kid had zero disciplinary issues at the school.

I would not say they are "the same", but certainly it's an incomplete effort at securing the firearm.

This is a good question. Not sure if we'll ever get a definitive answer.

I don't know what the rules are for family visitation when they're all being held in the same jail, but I'd be a little surprised if they could legally keep the boy from seeing his parents for months and months before the trial. Anyways, their "stories" don't matter much because if they've got lawyers worth anything, none of them will say anything to the authorities.

I'm curious: would you apply the same logic to the prosecutor? If it is shown that the gun was locked, will it show that the prosecutor is lying, so what else is she lying about?

Except the parents have already spoken about it and both statements contradict each other. I'm now curious to hear what the son has to say about how he got the gun.

I absolutely would. But it is the parents and their demon seed who is on trial here. They killed four children and wounded several others not the prosecutor.

What statements? What contradiction? The dad called 911. I don't think a transcript / recording of that call has been released publicly yet. In it, he apparently (according to the prosecutor) indicated the gun was stored in a drawer. Later, the parents' lawyer claimed the gun was "locked". I've already pointed out a way that a gun could both be in the drawer and "locked", so I don't see any inherent contradiction here. I don't think the mom had even made a statement about the firearm storage, did she?

Me too, but again, I don't realistically expect him to be making public statements on the matter, at least not if he's got a decent lawyer.

That is exactly what happened at Parkland High a few years back. Video cameras all throughout the building, but not a single frame of video showing the shootings. At Parkland there were several (teachers) who reported seeing 2 shooters.

We can see Kyle Rittenhouse dispatch two aggressors, but we are not allowed to see video evidence in high schools to corroborate the narrative. We can see videos of all manner of violence, but we are not allowed to see what happened at Oxford. Similar story at Sandy Hook and The Pulse.

It's better than 50-50 that any such videos would contradict the official story.
