Taken to this section from the fallout of politics in a non political thread and made a new in here to talk about
    It was about democracy.
Look at this deal with China the EU rushed through under Germany.

    https://www.scmp.com/comment/opinio...ina-investment-deal-exposes-european-weakness
    https://www.voanews.com/east-asia-p...investment-deal-threatens-us-europe-relations

EU countries feel steamrolled by 'the German engine'. There were 25 EU leaders not invited to the conference call, most notably, Italy.
This investment deal appeases China and even legitimises China, plus it gives China a stronger hand in the world now.
It also threatens the US EU relationship.

The EU is a horrid undemocratic process that will sell out human rights to make a quick buck and undermine America.

The choice to leave the EU was the right one for the UK.

~ Thanks to taint media many in the U.S. are dumbed down as to the facts and reality that western democracy is under attack by communist China.

What did the Italian PM have to say about the meeting or the deal? Politico only quotes Scalfarotto, a well known activist.
Be careful not to read just what you want to.

At least us leaving the EU means we get to have our own stance on China.
It's a stance I happen to agree with (the talks of a strained relationship and a commit to HK, democracy and human rights watch on China).

Germany might be the engine of the EU, but UK and EU are sovereign equals, meaning Germany isn't (for being in the EU)... If that isn't a great reason for Brexit, IDK what is lol.

Here's a video that weighs in on this EU China deal.
In essence, it says deals with China require PRC China to uphold their end of the bargain (which they never do)... As well a compromise of principals EU is showing in entering this deal with PRC China.

EU Tells Xi To Stuff It.

"China loses Europe as Xi's hardline diplomacy backfires."

Nakazawa wrote, "The European Parliament has voted overwhelmingly to freeze the ratification process of an investment pact with China -- a deal that Beijing six months ago considered a big strategic victory.

"It has sent shock waves throughout China, with only one month and change before arguably the most important event in President Xi Jinping's era, the 100th anniversary of the Chinese Communist Party's establishment, on July 1.

"Some party members are worried that the centenary's festive mood will be dampened by the harsh diplomatic reality. Not only are China's relations with the U.S. bad, but now EU relations are stuck in a ditch."

The World is a bit fed up with the Polluting, Lying, Outlaw, Slavers of Beijing.
Lithuania fired up on Xi right to his face.
And that was the moment when everyone with a sound mind determined they had had enough of the Lying Polluting Outlaw Slavers of Beijing. And no, the World's Democracies may not just stand by while these evil bastards launch a war of conquest against their peaceful democratic neighbor.
    You think?
