Biden loves to blame Trump for covid but Trump is correct, this is a world wide problem and nobody is fairing well with this virus. In comparison though the US is doing pretty good.

"In the EU, new COVID-19 cases per capita stood at 235 daily diagnoses on Wednesday, according to Our World in Data. In the U.S., figures placed new cases per capita at 181 infections as of Thursday. The EU consists of 27 member states, which are: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden."

The Third Wave is hitting ...no doubt.

Funny thing is there didn't need to even BE a second wave.

There wasn't one in NY. Cases around the country hit that "second wave" in July but because of the mitigation efforts...New York...the hardest hit state in the country...completely avoided that.

    What does that say?

It says we CAN limit the damage...if we try.

Every time a lock down is eased
    a susceptible population gets exposed.

What is so hard to grasp about that?

And we can’t go into permanent lockdown so as Trump said we have to learn to live with Covid

That’s because New York spread it to other states in July. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that one out.

    That makes zero sense.

Did you think you "give it to someone" like pocket change? Give it away and you no longer have it?

I guess ya hadda say somethin huh?

Kind of how normal colds work. Issue is, this is no normal cold. That said, I have optimism that things will get better. Things have gotten better, as the rate of infection has ultimately stabilized despite the waves and soon I feel we're going to turn a bigger corner against the coronavirus.

    My 3rd Wave scenario;

If we were to assume the percentage of our Nursing/Senior Home’s Covid19 related deaths
would remain in the low 40%......

    1. Record highs in daily cases 7-day moving average would definitely overwhelm numerous hospitals.

    2. A very chaotic wave due the fact that the less common symptoms of Covid19 are the same as the common cold, the flu, and their sub-groups.

Note; Last two waves, our number of Hospitalizations peaked at near 60,000.

It had to come from somewhere. New Yorkers fled the minute they could get into a car and drive away. It's called contact tracing. And it points back to New York. Why was Cuomo so irresponsible?

It's comical that so many people rely upon notoriously bogus and unreliable tests to shape their perception of "the crisis".

Very much like the entire world including the NFL admiring the Emperor's New Clothes.

    People are funny.

They'll keep repeating that nonsense for years, and they know it's BS.

It's similar to neurosis, and for some of them, they are neurotic. A neurotic will deny the truth, but throw him into a crisis and his behavior will change instantly. He knows better, but the cognitive dissonance is beyond what their limited minds can handle.

How rational is it to believe the numbers generated by a grossly inaccurate test? How ethical is it for the media to promote such numbers as having any meaning at all? How gullible must one be to believe the statements of known liars?

It allowed most of Europe to only have minor cases and carry on more as normal for most of the Summer. This could be a new strain which they think came from Spain brought far and wide when people went on their holidays. It is looking like they made a mistake in thinking the first wave would be the worst. England's hospitals are already finding things difficult and this time they cant really afford to hold back people with other medical problems. England goes on full lockdown tomorrow because of the hospital situation and because it has been suggested that if they do not they could get as bad as 4,000 or more deaths a day. I live in Scotland. We are not in full lockdown or intending it yet. Our Government took preliminary precautions when the health experts started warning 6 weeks ago and cases here are not going crazy like in England. I cannot be bothered with people living in a conspiracy bubble.

actually not a full lockdown a reduced one. Schools, colleges and Universities will remain open
and people who cannot work from home can go to work - or I think they can unless they are involved in the hospitality industry. I could be wrong there having heard people unable to work are to get a reduced amount of money to live on from what they got last time.

    conspiracy bubble?

you do know that covid isn't even close to a death sentence, don't you?

You are aware that the virus can remain active for up to 28 day on some surfaces, aren't you?

Your lockdowns aren't going to solve it. Wash your hands and keep the high at risk folks away.

we've all heard the dire predictions of deaths, it never happened
