    All that shows is that genetic material changes, too.

    There are a number of features for which there is clear evidence that similar solutions evolved independently.

    You have to remember that computers don't reproduce. Expecting evolution to work without reproduction doesn't make any sense.

    And, even then it doesn't demonstrate your point, as if an organism were as disabled as that it would not be in a position to pass on the change.

    Yes, precisely. If the amino acid for a codon changes the organism wouldn't reproduce. So how did the different genetic codings come about?

    Right. If the codings for a codon didn't change then there was an different originator for each of the different genetic codes. Hence no common descent.
