Daily, we hear the left push their agenda for a fair America. A social justice America. An America of equality.

Yet, progressive lefties have controlled states and cities like New York, Chicago, and LA for decades.

Poverty, wealth gap, homelessness, high taxation, crime and murders, failing education systems.

These are concentrated in these same locations. So I ask our progressive liberal friends on the forum; why should we get on board with your political and social agenda when you have failed to provide and example of these policies success?

Certainly you can't blame Republicans for Chicago Illinois failures? So then what is it?

How is adopting these same policies nationally going to improve the lives of the rural, small city, and suburban areas? That's where most of the conservatives are at?

I'll make you a deal. Clean up those cities you have been controlling for decades, make them safe, affordable, low taxation, good education, and filled with opportunity, and ill vote progressive for the rest of my life.

Progressivism is a ruse. It is nothing but smoke and mirrors.

And clearly this thread will be massively avoided by our progressive members.

Answer: everything progressive, public. Anything the general public has access to: health, education, social services, arts, heritage, environment etc

Perhaps because they consider it a stupid question, since the answer is so obvious.

I'm new here, so possibly have the naive presumption you'll understand what I am saying

Those things are a function of Leftist policy .. which is not at ALL the same thing as Progressivism. Very few Progressives are bonafide Leftists or liberals. They're more like flat earthers, which is why they destroy cities.

Sounds like progressivism is a misnomer, or contradiction in terms, then (if all they do is destroy). We don't really use that word in Australia

    That's news to this Australian!

I hear Progressives describe themselves as such all the time - and I have the misfortune to live amongst a lot of 'em

Most do seem to think they qualify as Leftists, though - purely on account of their vote. Pretty amusing :p

Progs have pointed to some examples of success in Europe, but strangely these tend to be traditionally mostly White countries.

    related thread:
Why is it all the countries Progressives want to emulate are White?

even when it comes to gun death rates:
U.S. homicide rates compared to different countries

(one notable exception is Northeast Asian countries, Japan, Korea, China, including Taiwan and Singapore which are also majority ethnic Chinese, but you would not approve of the type of policies or social values in these countries)

    quote from another thread:

Note that all the countries that are better than the U.S. are either former British colonies (settled by Europeans) or in Western Europe.
The only two exceptions are Japan and possibly Singapore.

Also a few Arab countries with relatively small populations and lots of oil money. (But even in Saudi Arabia half the population are foreign nationals who are very poor and treated very bad)

Singapore is only the size of a small city, its population is mostly ethnic Chinese, and the quality of life for a large part of the population there is not really so good because of the high cost of living and high population density.

Western Europe has taken in a large amount of immigration over the last 25 years and the quality of life is headed downwards. (several other threads here on that)

    Really?

Many areas that are predominately conservative controlled have lower taxes than liberal urban areas, have high quality education, are safe, and provide lots of opportunity.

Why? Democrats aren't progressives. They are center-right.

Just because I called out the SPURIOUS use of the race card in this thread does not equate to my having the slightest intent to respond to the lamebait OP.

Stuff like what? And if you provide an answer, show an example of how the use of that money was positive in the city it was used in.

Non sequitur response has no bearing on the spurious use of the Race Card in this thread.
