Something about this doesn't add up. Smollett randomly got hungry and decided to leave and grab something to eat. Were these people waiting outside where he was staying at 2 in the morning? If not than how did they know to where to find him? What is the point of even putting a rope around his neck and not doing something? I'm glad they didn't but a scare tactic like that is pointless unless you're trying to get someone to do something. Otherwise what did this accomplish?

None of this makes sense. I look forward to seeing more information come to light and hopefully those responsible face justice, but at the moment this attack just by it's very nature is confusing.

That said, I hope he's recovering from whatever happened to him. I recall too many examples now (USAF Academy comes immediately to mind) of these kinds of little incidents creating a huge amount of buzz only to be debunked after the real perps are identified. Perhaps this one needs more time to bake before we all rush to our judgements here.
