    It’s time for both sides of politics in the US ( sadly there appears to be only two most of the time) to cease playing their tribal games and focus on the features of the constitution which make possible a White House that’s no more than an authoritarian dictatorship. The delusion that the US system of government is a complete democracy is fast becoming exposed for what it really is. Putin knows this and is playing the game so effectively even most Republicans have no idea they’ve been blindsided by an autocratic thug.If you’re wondering which thug that refers to you’re just beginning to understand.

    Constitutional republics come in many forms. I suggest you have a close look at your constitution in the light of executive power and then ask yourself is this compatible with a democarcy.Sadly I suspect too soon you’ll find out it isn’t.

    So, did Trump tell everyone that he had a pen and a phone to circumvent congress, selectively enforce laws he didn't agree with and weaponize executive departments against his "enemies"?

    <Rule 3>

    This is why we dont have a democracy.

    The founding fathers knew how stupid the average American would be one day.

    "Free phone and you gonna pay my bills? Aight, you got my vote."

    DACA was part of the pen and phone legacy.

    How pathetic. You lose the election and now you attack the electoral process. As progs continue to lose elections by the thousands, I expect their attacks on the electoral process to continue to intensify.

    Please provide evidence that the US is now an authoritarian dictatorship. This is the Current Events forum, not the "my feelings are hurt, so let me post silly nonsense" forum.

    Ad hominem argument is a waste of time. As to evidence open your eyes to the rapid erosion of democracy in the US.

    It is a MAJOR problem when the leader of our country calls REAL news FAKE, and propaganda or spun stories with little relevancy "REAL NEWS" Plain as can be, all the news networks except for FOX tell the truth and FOX finds a SPIN on the same type of news that supports the POTUS.
    As it stands, Trump could, like he says, can stand in the middle of a street and shoot someone. FOX NEWS would blame the guy in the street (shouldn't have been standing in the middle, was he possibly Jaywalking, should he be arrested for being there?) (Did Hillary put him up to it) (How is the FBI involved).... Who planted the gun in his hand, it was his, but he doesn't know how it got there... Did the democratic Pressure "Make him do it"
    He thought it was a toy gun ? No one told him it was real !

    Oh, if only the Democrats had such a high regard for the Constitution during the last ten years.

    The Constitution greatly limits executive power. The problem is that not enough in government pay attention to the Constitution, and our legislative branch allows the executive too much power.

    Not really. I just like to watch Liberal hair burn. So, what does that have to do with my point? The Democrats hate the Constitution until they love the Constitution.

    Presidents have complained about the press since the founding fathers. In an authoritarian dictatorship the press would not be allowed to be openly hostile to the President.

    What does this have to do with concerns over the President's mental state?

    Can you give an example of anything that would be close to comparable of something that should have gone through the legislature like DACA?
